I’ve been quiet for almost two months due to me needing to step back, rest, and breathe.⁣
⁣
During that break my team and I filmed a brand video documentary about my story. I’ve filmed these for a lot of entrepreneurs but it’s been a while since I stepped in front of the camera for my own so I decided to practice what I preach. ⁣
⁣
In this video I share a side of me that I don’t talk about too often and break down what FL Media does, the services we offer, and why this work matters to me. How can I capture authentic moments for other people but not do it for myself?⁣

Most photographers just capture photos and that’s it. We don’t work like that.⁣

We take care of everything. Mood boards, shot lists, location scouting, hair and makeup, wardrobe curation, posing all of it is handled. All you have to do is just show up.⁣

Our client drove 3-4 hours from out of state to work with us. Out of every option she had, we stood out enough to where choosing us was a no brainer.

Every time we do a session with clients there are many moments that are unplanned. I’ve learned that those moments are usually the best moments to capture because the person in front of the camera isn’t overthinking and is fully themselves. It’s those moments that help the audience connect with you, trust you, and see the human side behind the brand.⁣

The best part is I’ve developed an eye and anticipation for those moments to where I can see it before it even happens.⁣

Sometimes the laughs, pauses, and in-between moments end up telling the story better than the “perfect” shot ever could.⁣

Recently behind the scenes I’ve been redefining how I show up in what I’ve been doing for almost a decade. ⁣
⁣
I’ve always known I’m skilled at what I do but I felt led to go deeper into why I do it.⁣
⁣
Not just creating content. Not just building a business but purpose.⁣
⁣
What I’ve realized was God wired me to be a creative to show His glory through my work. So when you see that “wow” factor in the photos and videos that’s not just skill.⁣
⁣
That’s alignment.⁣
⁣
There are moments still to this day where I look at my own work and be surprised and can’t even explain how I got the shot.⁣
⁣
And honestly, I think that’s why my clients don’t just get “nice content.”⁣
⁣
⁣
They get visuals that elevate their presence, build trust, and position them as the authority. Because when the foundation is deeper, the results hit different.⁣

This next season is different as I’m not just creating for clients and for viewers. I’m creating for the Kingdom….💯⁣🙏🏾⁣

Last week I captured the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce After Hours event.⁣
⁣
It was a members-only event, so the room was full of business owners just connecting, having real conversations, and enjoying the moment.⁣
⁣
A lot of laid back energy, people talking over drinks, nothing forced. Just good vibes all around.⁣
⁣
And that’s exactly why events like this matter.⁣
⁣
Because it’s not just about showing up…it’s about what you do after.⁣
⁣
When you capture your events the right way, you’re not just getting content. You’re showing your brand in real environments, building credibility, and giving people a reason to trust you before they even meet you.⁣

That’s how you go from just attending…to actually being remembered.⁣

Don’t fire your photographer if they have this structure in place…👀⁣

I get it… on the outside it can feel like⁣
“why am I paying upfront and it’s non-refundable? What if life happens and I need it back?”⁣
⁣
But real talk, that non-refundable retainer isn’t there to lock you in or take your money. It’s there because once your date is booked, the work has officially started.⁣
⁣
Your photographer has already blocked off that time, turned away other inquiries, and started planning your session. That can include coordinating details, bringing in team members like makeup artists, videographers, or assistants, and in some cases securing studio space ahead of time.⁣
⁣
So when plans change last minute, it’s not just a canceled session… it’s lost time, opportunities, and work already done behind the scenes.⁣
⁣
A lot of people don’t realize this until they’re on the other side of it.⁣
⁣
That retainer protects both sides. It secures your date and allows us to fully commit to executing your vision the right way.⁣
⁣
So just know this isn’t a red flag… it’s part of the industry standard when you’re working with professionals.⁣
