This is why I truly believe competition between photographers doesn’t exist 📸💚
During my Christmas styled shoot, we had about a 10-minute window where it was actively snowing in daylight (a literal dream). As the host, I was tied up with responsibilities and completely missed that magical moment.
My friend was there helping me set up and acting as an associate shooter for a few scenarios. We never planned for her to send me photos from the snowfall—but out of pure kindness, she sent over a few so I could play around with editing them 💚
And look at this!
The first image is my edit. The second is hers.
Same exact photo. Two completely different edits. Both beautiful. Both gorgeous. Both resonating with different people. Meaning we both will be attracting different clients and different people with different preferences.
And it’s not just the editing… A big part of picking out your wedding photographer has to do with picking out someone you vibe with because we follow you around all day! As a bride, you’re looking for art, style, personality in a photographer. And no one photographer is going to be the same!
Because your art and personality attracts your ideal clients, there is room for all of us photographers to support and uplift each other in our endeavors. It’s one of my favorite parts of hosting styled shoots—meeting and working alongside other photographers and wedding vendors 💚
