July was a crazy month for events! Long Island Business News, Ronald McDonald House, Parker Jewish Institute, New York Tech, and more. From the ballroom to the golf course, my feet are getting a little flat - but I still love it. I decided to throw just five of the events into a picture pile... break out your magnifying glass!

Time for a portrait roundup! Camila and I got together for a second time in the past five years, again to commemorate her being an award recipient for her legal work - the lifestyle images will appear in the article announcing the big win. Amal runs amalkapeninteriors.com in Cold Spring Harbor and wanted an update to her marketing package - she looks so cool but it was sure hot that night! Also an image of Crystal in black and white, the photo pulled from scores of images we made together.

July was busy with a ton of events, but too we had the pleasure of working with Viking to capture some of their sport bags and paddles; Hannah works in NYC with Sun Life , and Rohit is taking on a larger role in the Manhattan offices at BentallGreenOak. Philippe posed for a series of images to supplement his marketing needs, and we wish his new venture the best! Today I'm off to make catalog images of furniture made from reclaimed wood, then this evening I'll make portraits of a local, award-winning attorney nearby. Have a great weekend, everyone!

It's been a fun couple of weeks traveling with the cameras - we've been to Old Westbury to make portraits of the Board, profs, and staff at New York Tech; to NYC to photograph more fine folks at Bentall Green Oak; to Scott's real estate development offices in Jericho to shoot in those great open spaces; to the Huntington Yacht Club for their group portraits; and to Tritec's beautiful offices in Lake Ronkonkoma for their writeup in Long Island Business News. My first-ever paid photo assignment. “Dog peeing on tree” for Avanti press about 30 years ago. You can imagine my face when I opened the email request?

They renewed the license with me for another 15-16 years, though - turns out it was a great seller. I had to walk around Lake Michigan in Chicago stalking dog walkers to get this, offering to trade a portrait of their dog for my odd need.

Here's a result from our latest effort with FiveNineteen creative services and Jefferson's Ferry; FiveNineteen proposed the marketing concept of "time vs. opportunity," and the folks at Jefferson's Ferry signed up residents to participate in the shoot. Go team! This image isn't Photoshopped - we mounted the camera to a sturdy tripod, put our main subject in the frame, lit him with a diffused strobe, but then dragged the shutter for a long exposure as we marched the others behind him so they'd blur from the motion. Thanks to Beth for the assist!

It's DEFINITELY spring event season, and this rolling stone hasn't gathered any moss. I've spent a few days in Manhattan covering a financial summit for Schroders, and clicked away at the Jefferson's Ferry fundraising gala while watching everyone have just the best time. Long Island Business News keeps me hopping regularly with their panel discussions and awards luncheons, too. The best advice I have here is to be sure to get to the dry cleaner with the suits on a regular basis, and buy comfortable shoes...!

Time for a head shot roundup! We were happy to be a part of conference for Powering Possibility; hired by ICC Automation and taking place at National Grid, the conference focused on helping women into the workforce... and sharp headshots will hopefully help! We also updated all of the portraits of flag officers at the Northport Yacht Club, and too focused on Andrea and Alex for their branding and LinkedIn, as well as making a few for local stars over at Engeman theater in Northport.
