šŸŒ«ļø Lost in Time šŸŒ«ļø

Stumbled upon this forgotten gem—a 1950’s Chevrolet—sitting forlorn in a Wisconsin farm field on this cold, overcast January morning. The scene is a poignant reminder of days gone by, with the classic car resting beside an old, weathered barn. The heavy clouds above add to the somber mood, making it a perfect snapshot of nostalgia and abandonment. šŸš—šŸ’”

Beneath the bluffs, where the river winds,
A cemetery rests, by time confined.
Its stones are crooked, its markers worn,
Whispers of lives that once were born.

The St. Croix below, in currents wide,
Carries the stories the dead can’t hide—
Yet here, on this hill, the silence grows,
Where wildflowers bloom, and the north wind blows.

The names are fading, half-sunk in earth,
Forgotten hands that gave them birth.
The moss creeps in like a steady tide,
While the river continues its endless ride.

No mourners come, no songs are sung,
Just crows that circle, and branches strung
With the dust of years, the weight of time—
A place forsaken, untouched by rhyme.

Yet still, on this bluff where the shadows creep,
They lie, in peace, as the world goes to sleep,
Their spirits drift like the river’s flow,
In the heart of Wisconsin, where old ghosts go.

Found this forgotten gem resting in a field — a 1939 Sterling truck, slowly being overtaken by nature. It’s hard not to imagine the stories it holds, the roads it once traveled, and the hands that steered it through history. There’s something so timeless about rust and decay. 🌾🚚

Pontiac Blues

(Verse 1)
Well, I woke up this mornin’, sun peekin’ through the trees,
Saw my Pontiac sittin’, caught up in the weeds.
Rusty hood and broken wheels, dreams all laid to waste,
Ain’t no more cruisin’, just a memory I chase.

(Chorus)
Got them Pontiac blues, oh, so low and down,
That old car used to roll, now it’s just a ghost in this town.
With every tear that falls, I can hear that engine sigh,
Pontiac blues, baby, watch my good times die.

(Verse 2)
She used to shine like silver, turnin’ heads on the street,
Now she’s lost in the shadows, can’t feel the rhythm of her beat.
Once we’d drive ā€˜til sunset, laugh beneath the stars,
Now she’s rustin’ in the field, a monument to my scars.

(Chorus)
Got them Pontiac blues, oh, so low and down,
That old car used to roll, now it’s just a ghost in this town.
With every tear that falls, I can hear that engine sigh,
Pontiac blues, baby, watch my good times die.

(Bridge)
Time don’t stop for nobody, leaves you in the dust,
Every mile we traveled, now it’s just a must.
Gonna sing my sad song, let the whole world know,
This broken-down beauty, she’s the last place I go.

(Chorus)
Got them Pontiac blues, oh, so low and down,
That old car used to roll, now it’s just a ghost in this town.
With every tear that falls, I can hear that engine sigh,
Pontiac blues, baby, watch my good times die.

(Outro)
So here I sit and wonder, as the days slip away,
That old Pontiac’s a memory, but I’m still here to stay.
With my Pontiac blues, I’ll carry on this tune,
Underneath the faded stars, and the light of the moon.

Once it soared through skies of gray,
Wings of steel in bold display,
Carrying dreams and heavy loads,
Through whispered fears and war torn skies.

Now it rests on hallowed ground,
In silence, history’s echoes sound.
A sentinel of skies once bright,
Guarding tales of courage and flight.

With rivets gleaming, paint worn thin,
It holds the stories of where it’s been.
A monument to those who dared,
In its stillness, their legacy shared.

šŸš—šŸ’” Once a symbol of luxury, now a relic of the past. This 1959 Cadillac sedan sits forlorn and abandoned on the side of the road, its once-gleaming chrome now dulled by time’s relentless march. The tailfins that soared towards the sky now rest heavy with memories of bygone days. It’s a poignant reminder that even the grandest journeys come to an end.

In the quiet of Hutchinson’s embrace, Where nature reclaims its rightful space, A Buick eight, forgotten by time’s swift race, Turns to earth, with a silent grace.

Beneath the sky’s vast, starry dome, It rests far from its factory home, Its chrome and paint, once a gleaming sheath, Now yields to rust, and the earth beneath.

ā€œIt’s funny how close the past is, sometimes. Sometimes it seems as if you could almost reach out and touch it. Only who really wants to?ā€ So mused King, in tales spun so fine, As this Buick’s story entwines with mine.

Once a chariot, proud and bold, Carrying stories, yet to be told, Now it whispers of days long gone, In the silent language of dusk and dawn.

Its journey ended, not with a roar, But a quiet settling into the forest floor, A testament to what once was great, This Buick eight, succumbs to fate.
For in its stillness, there’s a tale, Of rubber and metal, leather and nail, A slow return to the earth’s wide berth, A cycle completed, a rebirth.

So let it lie, this relic of yesteryear, In its decay, there’s nothing to fear, For even as it turns to earth slowly, It’s a monument to the past, solemn and holy.
