The South Bridge Connector is more than just another construction project it’s a project over 60 years in the making.

First recommended back in 1968, this bridge has been talked about for generations. Once complete, it will help relieve traffic through downtown De Pere, create a stronger connection between I-41 and the east side of the Fox River, and open the door for future growth in De Pere, Lawrence, and Ledgeview.

Right now, the work you’re seeing is part of the massive road and interchange infrastructure that will eventually support a four-lane corridor, multi-use trails, and the long-awaited bridge over the Fox River.

The fog rolling across a Northwoods lake at sunrise or how about Lake Michigan. A Wisconsin or Michigan waterfall you can only fully see from above. A resort property that looks stunning on the ground but breathtaking from the air. A construction crew pounding out the work in the hot summer sun.
