I was thinking that it was time for me to make an official post on this page about what I’m up to these days. After going on a sort of hiatus for a few years, I was unsure of the path I wanted to take with photography. I still enjoy doing it, but there were a lot of things that happened to me that caused doubts and discouraged me to want to continue doing it.

After awhile, I accepted a few offers and would find myself welcomed by old friends and it felt really good. After one particular incident while I was working for a venue, I almost decided to give up again and this time never return. It was a very scary and also heart breaking moment for me, but my friends picked me back up again and showed me that I really am valued and I couldn’t be more grateful for them.

The two people I really want to give a special shout out to are Ben Nendza and Metal Jim. Ben invited me to work with him at his beautiful venue The Atelier here in our home town where I am the house photographer and help him with events and booking. This venue exposed me to so many different people and genres of music which was really refreshing to me and I started to feel my passion for photography again.

When Metal Jim reached out to me and asked me to be a part of his crew, I was so honored. We had been friends for a long time and did a lot of collaboration but I never thought that I would ever again be doing any kind of music journalism on that level. After my first official outing with him and his manager, I had so much fun meeting bands on tour again. Talking with them and seeing them perform reminded me that the things I used to do when I ran the magazine and stuff, were things I did because I loved doing it. I loved showing people new music and even if I was only a small part of it, it was a very cool experience. That’s something no one can truly take from me.

So I’ll wrap up this very long post now, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of you who supported me through all these years, and continue to do so. Never be afraid to reach out if you need pics or videos, I’m happy to help if I can ❤️

It was awesome to join the Metal Jim crew this weekend to see Lo-Fi Killers Trash Pandas Reign of Z and The Almas at 301 Productionz newest venue 301 Studio! I had so much fun meeting the bands and seeing them all perform! I highly recommend making your way out to Portage to see this venue!
