Magic in the dust..

She doesn’t know this is a season I’ll miss forever.
Bare feet on the floor, sunlight spilling in, just moving because it feels good.

I don’t remember when her legs got longer or when the unsteady steps turned confident. It happened slowly, right in front of me, while I was busy trying to keep up with time.

These are the moments I want to hold onto — the ordinary ones that don’t feel big until they’re gone.
Time moves fast, but for a second, this one stayed. 🤍

Before you arrive, life doesn’t slow down.
There are still little boots by the door,
small hands tugging at my sleeves,
and a house full of noise, crumbs, and love.

And right in the middle of it all,
I carry you.
While siblings learn how to make room.
While my heart stretches in ways I didn’t know it could.

This season feels tender and full.
A family mid-becoming.
Learning—again—that love doesn’t divide.
It multiplies.

7 Months..

How did we get here.
How did you grow without asking me first.

Your fingers stretching longer while I slept.
Your toes losing their squish when I wasn’t looking.

How do days slip through my hands like this.
How do moments disappear while I’m holding them.

I want to bottle you up.
Freeze this version of you in time.

Time is a thief…
and still, somehow, I am impossibly blessed.

2025..
where did you slip off to,
how did you carry me here so quickly?

You came with growth
that didn’t shout,
but settled deep,
teaching me what fills my soul
and what no longer needs my energy.

You also came with questions.
Am I enough?
Am I saying the right things?
Choosing the right roads?

And yet, as you closed,
my heart grew louder than my doubts.
I learned where I belong,
what deserves my pouring,
and who I want to give myself to.

You taught me to slow down.
To choose the people who feel like home,
family gathered close,
friends who stay when life is quiet.

You reminded me that the small moments
are not really small at all.

You showed me how quickly little hands grow,
how fleeting these days are,

how sacred it is to be fully here while they are little.

So I lingered longer.
I soaked it in.
I chose memories over momentum,
presence over pressure.

And if this is what it means to grow,
to love deeper, move slower,
and hold tighter to what matters most,
then 2025,
you were worth every second.

It’s not the big moments that shape us. It’s the quiet ones. The way she wraps her little arms around you without hesitation. The way his hand settles on your back like it’s always belonged there. The laughter that echoes across the fields, soft and fleeting, but somehow eternal.

These are the pieces that build a family. Not perfect, but real. Rooted in grace, held together by love that shows up in the small things, again and again.

The most treasured stories of our lives aren’t always found in big milestones, but in the quiet pauses in between.

Pages turning in little hands, morning light spilling across the room, the sound of tiny feet dancing on worn floors.

A family bound not by flawless days, but by the gift of simply being together. Love tucked into the ordinary, moments so small they could be missed, yet so sacred they’ll never be forgotten.

If you’re still here after my little season of baby bliss, thank you for sticking around, it means so much. During that time away, I realized something important: somewhere along the way, I lost a bit of the artist in me. Burnout in photography is real, and I think mine came from putting too much pressure on myself to be “Instagram perfect” or to chase a certain look. In that process, I let go of some of the creativity that first drew me to photography.

From here on out, I’m giving myself permission to create more freely. My editing will be guided by the feeling of each session, because no two stories are the same. Every family, every moment, every connection is unique, so why should they all be edited to look the same?

Moving forward, I’m excited to push myself outside my comfort zone, shooting at different times of day, embracing imperfect moments, and capturing life exactly as it unfolds.

If you’re still here reading these thoughts, I want you to know this: my heart is to tell your story in a way that feels authentic, artful, and deeply connected. Thank you for trusting me with your moments. I can’t wait to create together.

Becoming parents for the first time is both surreal and beautiful—every kick, every tiny heartbeat, a reminder that your world is about to change forever. You may be new to this, but your hearts are already overflowing with love for the little one you can’t wait to hold.
