The sand on Siesta Key Beach in Florida is mostly finely ground quartz and is righfully considered one of the best in the world. My feet are happy pushing around in this flour-like surface, not to mention the joy of a sunny warm day! A most welcome respite from the bone chilling North East!

Late in the Autumn, before the inevitable snow cycle begins, bare trees become the foreground for the sky beyond. People have told me it looks like the inside of their brain (get help) or blood vessels somewhere in their body. Searching for a metaphor.... what's within our bodies carries life's energy the same as with a tree, doing what it must in order to keep living. Even thought the winter is a time of dormancy for this tree, it already has a plan to use its stored energy, pushing blossoms onto its branches a few months from now. The tree will once again feed itself and we will once again enjoy the sweet smell of Spring. www.stevefennfoto.me

Photographs have a way of finding their space. The nice thing about high quality prints is that they're scalable to fit in just the right location. This fall scenic reminds a viewer that colorful leaves are not the complete picture. Undulant and gnarly trunks have a different character than a delicate, lit-from-within leaf fallen from trees like this. Both, I feel, are beautiful. www.stevefennfoto.me
