Have I ever mentioned that I love my job? Over spring break, I had the awesome chance to capture Christopher land a plane and take his senior photos at the Grayslake Airport. At 17, he already has his pilot’s license and is on the path to becoming a commercial pilot. What a rush it was to also watch him take off and fly! I couldn’t capture much with my phone, but I wanted to share anyway. He is amazing!

It was absolutely frigid but gorgeous by the lake tonight, and this awesome senior took it all in stride and handled it like a champ. He NEVER put on a coat! I’m in awe of youth’s tenacity. I’m also always in awe of how beautiful Lake Michigan is in every season 🩵

What a fun night!! I had the honor of capturing Connor’s Bar Mitzvah. Great group of kids, family and community. Connor is one of the coolest kids I know, and he and his friends tore up the dance floor! Mazel Tov, Connor! 💙✡️🤍

One of my goals this year to devote more time to my first love, landscape & nature photography. From the countless forest preserves to all our beautiful lakes, there is so much beauty to enjoy. Free time is always sparse, but arriving thirty minutes early to my family sessions to capture the scenery should lend me more time for this goal!

I’ve been feeling extremely heavy and sad over the state of our country and I have had to work hard to find my joy within. However, spending a week of mornings with the children at Nature Walk Montessori taking their school photos really helped 🤍
