I haven’t been on in a while and I haven’t photographed in a long while either. Life has been a bit of a struggle lately so I have tried to take a break. I am thinking about using this platform as a tool of encouragement to those who are fighting daily struggles with pain that is unseen.
Photography helped me to reestablish myself after stepping out of a full time career. It gave me hope by doing something that I really enjoyed and didn’t seem to stress me to the max. Then my body decided to fight against me even more. Wrist pain and arthritis in my spine became to much at times and I found myself backing away from scheduling shoots. It’s so hard to explain something that people can not see!
I am by far not a needy person and I absolutely will not receive pity! I am stubborn and as strong minded as a bull. Maybe even more sometimes lol. This fight is real and it has become a daily battle that I continue to fight! I want to encourage others that deal with any UNSEEN issue. I am not a professional counselor but I am a prayer warrior and I will pray for and with anyone who wants me to. If you read this and know someone that can benefit from a praying friend please share this with them. My heart is that of a servant for Christ and if I can’t serve physically I can definitely serve as a friend.

Life hasn’t always been easy. I have had some very hard things to make and mold me. At times I felt very alone and had to deal with things the best I could with no help. I had to learn to feed our family on nearly nothing and had to work many days sick or feeling bad. I’ve fought to smile at times! Ricky and I have learned valuable life lessons the hard way. We have had a few step up and boost us at times but have always paid back and are very grateful. The first 20 years of our marriage we had no clue about finance. We lived week to week for at least the first 10 to15 years. Sure if everything would’ve been done for us it would’ve been a much easier and less stressful time but what would we have learned! What would we be able to teach out children and grandchildren? We learned to live on need only and very seldom made our wants happen. We have but taught our children to work hard! We taught them to love Jesus and value Him! He has never let us go hungry. At 50 and 51 we both still work very hard to provide and to help others. I consider myself a giver but I always attach a life lesson for those I give to. I would say that gratitude has been the greatest lesson for me. I am intentional about reminding myself daily to be grateful. God has brought us through so much and I wouldn’t have wanted it to be any other way!!!!
Work hard…. Trust God…. Pray hard….Be a giver…. Be faithful… be determined…. Be simple….. love our beautiful world…. Strive for greatness….don’t hold out an empty hand…. Ask what can I do for you today?……be intentional and most of all love!!!!

I was singing one Sunday on the praise team with my eyes closed(they usually are). When I opened them and looked out, I saw this beautiful woman with a white lose fitting blouse on. She was signing the words that we were singing. In the light she was in she looked like an angel. I knew I had to meet her. I am so thankful that God sent these two to our church and into our lives. I love them both so much!!!!
