One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was bringing my film camera along for every adventure of our wedding weekend (including the ceremony) and capturing these moments myself. There’s something so nostalgic about film, and every frame takes me right back to the best weekend of my life.

A couple of days before the wedding, we got to show all of our favorite people our favorite place on the river—a place that holds so many special memories for my family, and now so many new ones too. That day was pure bliss and one I reminisce on often. It all felt surreal.

I still think about standing in the cabin with my sweet dad, anxiously waiting for our turn to walk down the aisle, peeking out the window at my soon-to-be husband and his parents. I was so overjoyed to see all of our favorite people gathered there—people who have loved us so well and came to celebrate all that the Lord had done in our lives.

When I took the first photo I was already so excited to show our future children one day how handsome their dad was (& is) on our wedding day, and what a sweet life we were about to begin together. 🕊️
