Today starts a two week hustle of fall family photo sessions and I am so excited. I started my business with primarily family sessions all those years ago, and these sessions will always have my heart. 🤍

I can’t wait for all the sweet families I get to have in front of my camera soon!

There is something not just beautiful about getting ready on your wedding day, but sacred too. Beyond the laughs or the extra help needed for buttons or clasps, the ask for a pair of glasses to help see a little better sometimes, are these other perfect moments caught in time. Your loved ones helping you get ready one last time before the next part of your story begins. The details of your sleeves, the way the fabric falls, the look on your face, the way your hair is done, the thoughts going through your head. It’s so beautiful every time, and I love these parts of wedding days so much.

I’m heading out for a long weekend getaway to celebrate our belated anniversary. We are staying near Lake Michigan at a lovely Airbnb and eating some good food and seeing the local beaches and hiking, hopefully some wineries or orchards, and binge watching the new Mike Flanagan show, Carrie.

I love getting a little break in the midst of busy season and it will be such a refreshing time!

All inquires and emails will be responded to by Monday, October 12 when I am back in the office. I’ll be monitoring email for current and upcoming clients. 🤍

Hello, hello! I need to show my face a little more on here sometimes and thanks to Landon for taking a test shot at a recent wedding, I have a fresh little photo to share. 😍

So here I am saying hi to my old and new followers and just want to say how thankful I am for each and every client. I love being present for some of your most special moments, and some of your meaningful memories. It’s such an honor to do this work, and I never take it for granted.

When I am not taking photos of your beautiful faces, I am being mom to my two boys and three cats, and wifey to my amazing second shooter. I’m editing, watching The Office, reading, lifting weights, and enjoying the home we have made in Granger. I love the simple things of life the older I get, and it reminds me that even the smallest moments on your day or during your session are just as important as the big ones. 🤍

Thanks for being here and I hope you have the best fall and into the holidays! If we haven’t worked together yet, I hope we get to soon! And if you are working with me for the second or 15th time, I love you and can’t wait to see you for your fall session soon!! 😍

Walking into the weekend with so much gratitude for this work! Here are a couple of previews from Erin and Michael’s Indianapolis engagement session! Editing their gallery has been so much fun.🤩

Landon and I are heading back down to Indy tomorrow for a beautiful wedding for Grace and Jacob, and it will actually be our own wedding anniversary! We get to sneak away for a long weekend next week!

I am in love with this time of year. The light, the temps, the colors, and I always love all my fall sessions and weddings so much.

It has been such a pleasure working through their gallery edits lately. As a photographer, it’s our job to notice moments, curate portraits, be present, witness, document, guide the photo experience, troubleshoot lighting and so much more. And then when I sit with my laptop editing these same moments? I remember it all over again and what a joy to know I will give that same feeling to my couples when they receive their final gallery. #

At your family session, I’ll look for the tiny in between moments, and listen to your kiddos tell me all about their dinos, look at what they point out to me, and let me see their cool bandaids. Here for it all. 🤍

Happy Friday!! Walking into the weekend with a little bit of family time and a little bit of work. I’ll be shooting a session in Indy tomorrow, two local sessions on Sunday, a soccer game, and the in-laws in town for a visit. I’ll be making some braised pork - my go-to fall dinner right now, and some homemade monkey bread for breakfast tomorrow.

Work life balance doesn’t always look like 50/50 when it’s fall and you’re a photographer, but I love it and this is my favorite season!

I hope your weekend is full of lots of things you love with the people you love! Have a good one!
