Well, the Iowa State Fair is here again! I entered my 4 photos for judging back in June and was notified early in July that 1 was selected for display.

While it's always an honor to have one selected (they only choose about 1/3rd of the entries to be displayed) it falls a bit short of my personal goals and I'll be thinking about whether or not I want to continue entering in the future.

Back in May, I went to check out the new bird blind at Jester Park (Really nice by the way!) and met a new furry friend! This raccoon was eating leftover birdseed under the birdfeeders. He didn’t seem to mind me at all and I ended up watching him for about 30 minutes. At one point, he tried to climb the pole to get up on the feeder but the baffle was in the way 😆
