After the grove lies a private garden you can tour, the Okochi Sanso Gardens. Filled with tranquil spots away from the crowds.

In western Kyoto there lies a gorgeous walking path filled with thousands of perfectly maintained bamboo trees known as the bamboo grove. Though the path can be very steep at spots and quite busy, it's a very serene walk.

Asakusa side streets had the cool neon sign vibe along with some traditional styles like these street lights. The rain helped reflect the lights too which I thought looked sweet

These small lanterns line the shop streets running up to the temple entrance. Each of them has a name of a shop or wealthy individual who has donated to the temple.
