Hi friends,
It’s been a while since I’ve shown up here, and honestly, I wasn’t sure how to put this into words. The truth is, life got heavy. I walked through some really hard seasons that dimmed my spark and pulled me away from the things I love most, including photography. I lost my passions, my drive and most of all, myself over the last year.

But here’s the beautiful part: I’m finding my light again. ✨
Plum Joy Photography is a piece of my heart, and I’ve missed it (and all of you) so deeply. Stepping back hasn’t been easy, and I’m still finding my groove but it’s given me fresh vision, deeper gratitude, and a renewed passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments.

Thank you for sticking around, for being here, and for cheering me on as I fully step back into this dream. I can’t wait to share what’s coming next with you. 💛

Life has been a whirlwind lately, and I wanted to take a moment to check in and share a little update.⁠

I’ve been spending so much time behind the scenes, editing the most beautiful weddings and sessions. It’s such an honor to bring your memories to life, and I’m endlessly grateful for the trust you place in me to capture these special moments. 💕⁠

But I’ll be honest—it’s also been a season of recognizing when I need to slow down. It's been a rollercoaster of a year, and I've taken some much-needed mental health breaks recently, giving myself space to recharge and refocus. Finding balance isn’t always easy, but it’s so worth it. ⁠

Now, with the holidays just around the corner, I’m feeling re-energized and so excited for what’s ahead. From cozy nights to festive sessions, this time of year is my absolute favorite—and I can’t wait to share more with you all! Including some holiday deals and even some giveaways!🎄✨⁠

Aside from my great admiration for a gorgeous sunset, what I truly love most about these portraits on your wedding day is the energy beaming between you two. As your photographer, we have the pleasure of being apart of your whole day.

We get to watch as you go from getting ready and all the nerves and butterflies that come, to finally seeing one another and the relief you have once your finally are enjoying your day together.

Once we get to that time in the evening when the sun is setting, your hearts, dance floor, and hopefully your bellies 🍰, are full, and you get to sneak away to really look back and reflect on your day together.

This time is always short but oh so sweet and the feeling of knowing that though your wedding is coming to an end, your story as husband and wife is only beginning.

Capturing that, is a great honor and is one of the absolute best parts of what I do.

My Fancy-girl is 1! 🐶✨
It’s crazy how fast this year has flown. Though I’ve only had her a short time, I can’t imagine life without her. Fancy is as sassy as they come, so stinkin’ smart and the biggest love bug!

When I went to pick her out, and the entire litter were running around (or sleeping on one another lol) I thought “how in the world do I choose”, and thankfully, Fancy made the decision for me when all of her siblings ran one way, she was the only one that kept coming to me. I knew in that moment, she was my girl.

As someone who was the furthest from a dog-person growing up, being able to grow and learn along side her has been one of the best experiences.

What a joy it was to capture the wedding of this wonderful couple! So incredibly sweet and kind, Elena and Daniel were a delight to work with. Elena's excitement throughout the planning process was infectious, and her gratitude towards all the vendors was heartwarming. Their wedding day was all about being surrounded by friends and family, sharing precious moments.

The two exchanged vows in a beautiful church that Daniel’s parents had also gotten married in. The ceremony stirred emotions in everyone, there wasn’t a single dry eye, and you could feel the love between Elena, Daniel and everyone in attendance.

Elena looked stunning wearing her grandmother's pearls, a touch of family history that made the day even more special.

They ended their magical day dancing the waltz on the patio. Their wedding was all about love and happiness. It was so special to be part of their beautiful day.
