This Shouldn’t be Difficult: A Dyslexic Experience is a collection of different examples of dyslexia. The work forces the viewer into a one-on-one interaction with the artwork by putting “everyone else” in the place of the singled impaired person. The setting of a classroom reinforces the idea of the beginnings of the problems becoming ignored by others around the individual.

Concealed Wetlands: Rendering the Invisible uses infrared photography as a representation of how bleak and seemingly unimportant wildlife, forests, and nature in general has become to most of the developed world. The color infrared photographs represent the urbanization of nature and how humans keep destroying natural habitats to create their manmade habitats.

Taylor Bishop is from Rockford, Michigan. He has an Associates of Arts with an emphasis in Photography from Grand Rapids Community College and is a candidate for a Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography and Intermedia from Western Michigan University. He has had solo and group exhibitions in multiple states. He is the president of a student ran organization at Western Michigan Univeristy, and is a Gordon Art Fellow. Most recently, Boardwalk Condominiums hosted Bishop during ArtPrize.
