The Maize & Blue Cluster ringside galleries are now live! 🎉

First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere thanks to the Ann Arbor Kennel Club for inviting Dapper Dreams Photography to cover this year’s Maize & Blue Cluster.

My heart goes out to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes. I know an incredible amount of time, planning, and dedication goes into putting on a weekend like this, and I truly appreciate all of the efforts made before the difficult decision was made to cancel the remainder of the cluster due to the severe weather.

Unfortunately, because of the cancellation, I wasn’t able to fulfill every ringside photography request. To those exhibitors whose dogs I wasn’t able to photograph, I sincerely apologize and hope our paths cross again at a future show.

As a small thank you for your support, I’ve added special introductory pricing to the Maize & Blue Cluster galleries, including a One Dog Complete Gallery option for exhibitors purchasing multiple images. Full pricing and ordering information can be found on the website.

UPDATE:

Wow… thank you all so much! Every Beach Mini Session was booked, and we had an absolute blast this evening.

A huge thank you to everyone who trusted me with their pups. I took a quick peek at a few images before heading home, and I can already tell they’re going to be beautiful. I can’t wait to start editing!

Based on today’s sessions, I think it’s safe to say we’ll have to this again later this summer. 😊 Hopefully next time with a little more notice than just a few hours!

Due to the unfortunate cancellation of the cluster I was attending, I'm excited to offer a limited number of Beach Mini Sessions this evening in South Haven, Michigan!

Whether your dog loves splashing through the waves or prefers to keep all four paws on dry sand, we'll capture a beautiful mix of playful action shots and timeless beach portraits along the shores of Lake Michigan. Your dog doesn't have to love the water to create beautiful beach memories.

What a bittersweet weekend.

First and foremost, I want to extend my sincere thanks to the Ann Arbor Kennel Club for inviting Dapper Dreams Photography to provide ringside photography for this year’s Maize & Blue Cluster. It truly meant a great deal to be trusted with covering such a wonderful event.

My heart goes out to everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to try to make this weekend happen, and then do whatever they could to course correct after last night’s storms. I know an incredible amount of time and effort went into exploring every possible option before the difficult decision was made to cancel the remainder of the weekend. I know how much work goes into planning a weekend like this, and I’m so sorry to see it end this way.

To everyone who submitted a ringside request, thank you for trusting me. I was able to cover a few rings yesterday, and I sincerely apologize to anyone whose dog I wasn’t able to photograph. I truly hope our paths cross again at a future event.

Seeing the damage around the fairgrounds and throughout the area on my way to and from the hotel this morning really put everything into perspective. I’m incredibly grateful that, from everything I’ve heard, no one was seriously injured. Buildings can be repaired, equipment can be replaced, and championships and points can always be chased another day. The people around us and the dogs that we love are what truly matter. I’m thankful everyone is safe. 💕

I will be in the Monroe area for a short time this morning before heading home. If anyone is still in town and would like to take advantage of the unexpected opening in my schedule for a quick outdoor portrait session, either at or near the fairgrounds, feel free to send me a message.

I'm excited to be attending the Maize & Blue Cluster, hosted by the Ann Arbor Kennel Club! I am putting the finishing touches on my tentative ringside coverage schedule.

There's just something about photographing dogs in the woods that feels a little more personal. It's quiet, peaceful, and somehow lets their personality shine through.

Natsu certainly understood the assignment. 🧡

Confession... I'm much better at photographing dogs than I am at remembering to post on social media. 😅

While social media has been a little quiet lately, behind the scenes it's been anything but! I've been editing away and have quite a few galleries heading out over the next several days. If I haven't reached out to you directly yet, don't worry. Yours is likely in the queue!

This season has been busy in the best way, and I truly can't thank all of my amazing clients enough for trusting me to photograph your dogs. It means more than you know that you choose me to capture these memories.

I'm currently booking into mid to late July, so if you've been thinking about scheduling a session for your pup, I'd love to chat.
