It's a Deblaay kinda week! Had a chance to take a new headshot for a longtime friend, Bethany Deblaay. She is a wonderful human that specializes in trauma counseling and one of those people that really stops and listens when you talk to her. I really wanted to take this opportunity to post the new shot and, even more importantly, share her website and a little blurb about the clients she works with, just in case there was someone that needed it. As a person who has dealt with trauma and therapy for many years now, I 100% believe this type of work is important and worth it, and I could not recommend a better person to go on that journey with you.

He is a little blurb from her website: "I connect with my clients because we both want to see an end to their suffering. Together, we identify the symptoms they would like to see changed (better sleep, less headaches, less fear, less anger) or patterns they would like to see shifted (standing up for myself, healthy relationships). Then, we engage in the work of therapy to support this change and see the suffering end."

It can't snow all the time❄️🌨️ like last Friday🌥️☀️ when I had the great opportunity to shoot senior photos for the incredibly talented Zeke Deblaay! I've known Zeke and the Deblaay family for quite some time, and it's been a privilege to watch Zeke grow into the amazing person he is today.

As a friend and fellow parent, one of the greatest joys is seeing kids embody the admirable traits of their parents or mentors and carve their own unique path in the world. From our time together at CREATE (our community art camp), making videos and music, to now doing his senior photos, Zeke has always impressed me with his trust in my ideas, his willingness to be a part of the creative process, and his genuine kindness as a human being.

Zeke, thank you for letting me be a part of this shoot and capturing this special moment in your life. I have no doubt that you're bound for greatness, and I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say I am excited to see the incredible things you'll achieve on your journey. Cherish this last part of your senior year, my friend! 🎓📸✨
