Fair Oaks Farms Wedding

Rainy mornings + the best kind of plot twist

The day started with a solid drizzle—the kind that makes you nervous if your whole ceremony is outdoors. But here’s the thing: this couple (and their crew) were champs. Umbrellas out, spirits high, no one panicked. And thankfully, Fair Oaks Farm has amazing covered spaces for portraits—think architectural walkways, clean lines, and dreamy filtered light that gave us some of my favorite photos of the day.

And then... magic. Just as it was time to head to the ceremony, the sky cleared. The trees still dripped gently, but the sun peeked out like it knew it was invited. Everyone walked to the wooded ceremony site with this quiet awe—like they were stepping into something special.

The Blessing Barn | Indiana

The Blessing Barn gave us space to breathe. Ten wooded acres, weekend-long access, and the kind of quiet that makes even the nerves slow down.

It felt tucked-away in the best way. Intimate, but open. Sacred, but never stiff.

And when a place holds a day this well? The photos don’t have to try so hard.

A Fair Oaks Farms Wedding that doesn’t feel like a farm.

Let me tell you about this hidden corner of Indiana I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with…
This was my first time photographing a Fair Oaks Farms wedding, and it absolutely won me over. Now, if you hear “farm” and immediately picture barn doors, burlap, and hay bales—pause. Rewind. This? Was not that.
Instead? This wedding was tucked into the woods, wrapped in golden leaves, moody skies, and a calm that felt like exhaling after holding your breath. It was sacred, cinematic, and personal in all the right ways.
