Golden hour on the lake. 🌅

Lately I’ve just been drawn to it - grabbing the camera, seeing what shows up.

Lake Michigan’s got a thousand moods, and I’m just out here catching a few.

Established in 1791, this isn’t just Maine’s oldest lighthouse; it’s a silent observer of time itself, bearing witness to centuries of stormy seas and peaceful sunsets.

When visiting, it was easy to imagine the countless keepers who’ve lit its lamp over the years.

Each one a guardian through seasons of culturally wild times and “hopefully” calm seas.

As I walked the super slick paths that lead to this historic beacon, you can just imagine the fabric of its long, storied past.

If you, like me, are drawn to places where history whispers to the present, then a visit here as evening falls is an absolute must. Here, beneath the watchful eye of the lighthouse light, the past isn’t just remembered; it’s felt.

Go to to plan your trip!

P.S. - is downtown and you should definitely stop in for anything on the menu! And I mean anything 👀
