i was looking through old galleries today and was reminded of how perfect and colorful valerie + joe’s day was. they had the best weather, best sunset, crystal clear skies, and a literal backyard garden party. on top of the perfect setting, they had the perfect people to surround them. best pals who run into the sunset with them, friends to help with pinning boutonnières, cheerleaders as they had they first kiss, and party people who stayed on the dance floor all. night. long. it was seriously incredible. here’s a post full of photos to prove it :)

way back when i worked in marketing, my boss told me i was going to be training a new hire photographer in the fall. no big deal, i was game for that. when she told me i had to share a desk with that new photographer, though, i was pi**ed. flash forward 4 years later and now i send daily vlogs to that photographer, frequently ask her to go plant shopping, always ask her to get coffee with me, and schedule hangouts weeks in advance. she’s introduced me to some of my favorite coffee shops, brand new ways of seeing the world, and camera things i would’ve never known without her. 4 years ago i would’ve told you we were not going to be friends, yet im posting this today as she’s getting ready to move across the state and i am incredibly emo about it. that’s my bestie. thank god we shared a desk.

my sweet friend caroline 🤍
you know when you make a friend randomly and suddenly you’re having weekly slumber parties and going for drives and exploring new places and walking around walmart to entertain yourselves??? that’s my caroline. we spent every possible second of free time together, probably a little too much time sometimes if we’re being honest. she went on my family vacations if that tells you anything :p that’s my girl. after not having seen each other in years, doing grad photos was exactly what i needed. holy nostalgia. before college she was always the calm cool collected girl who was always up for anything fun. good news folks, that hasn’t changed. now she’s the cool calm collected girl with a few years of bartending experience and a bachelors degree !!!!

how freaking lucky are we to be alive and in love and celebrating two people who are the best of friends, and have the best of friends!!!! what a whirlwind of a day!!! we cried. we laughed. we sang at the top of our lungs. we danced our hearts out. we felt ALLL the love!!!!
