I'm turning forty next month, and to celebrate, I'm doing something different this year! I want to highlight forty women over the age of 40.
I feel like women get a lot of heat for something as natural as getting older. It's like we're supposed to be some kind of time capsule moving through space and time without changing. We're supposed to "age gracefully" which somehow means looking like we're in our 20s without dieting, without surgery, without any effort.
I know that I look different now than I did 20 years ago, and I was beautiful then, and I'm beautiful now. We all are. I want to spend this year focusing on highlighting women as they are, as we are.
