I love exploring new places, trying new foods, craft beer, coffee dates, Michigan autumns, and, of course, PHOTOGRAPHY! I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you all, and I appreciate each and every one of you! My photography journey started in the most organic way. I didn’t grow up thinking “someday I’m going to be a photographer.” I was, however, that girl who always had a camera with her… you kno

w, back in the day before everyone had a camera phone in their pocket! Capturing moments and memories has always been something I just loved to do. I liked taking pictures with my friends and making scrapbooks. And now that we are “all grown up” and living totally different lives, those are pretty cool things to have and look back on. That’s what I want to give to all of my clients – beautiful memories they can cherish forever; that they can share with their future children and grandchildren. My first “photo shoots” were for a few friends who couldn’t afford to have their senior photos professionally taken. It was then that I realized I naturally have an eye for this. We had SO much fun, and from then on I was HOOKED. I bought my first DSLR and the rest is pretty much history. I taught myself everything I know about my gear and editing. But the one thing that can’t be taught is creativity and vision. My goal is for you to be able to feel something when you look at my photos; to truly capture the emotion behind the moments. It’s a passion project. I pour my heart and soul into each and every session and wedding. Photography is the preservation of priceless memories. It's turning the simplest of moments into art. It's catching the sweet glance of a bride looking lovingly at her groom when she doesn't know I'm shooting yet. It's telling your love story. It's freezing sweet moments in time. It’s capturing the personality of your little ones. After all, time goes by so fast! I have been very blessed with all this journey has brought into my life so far – so many clients and colleagues turned friends! I cannot wait for all that 2017 has to bring. There's still room on my calendar for a few more weddings. I would love to chat with you about your special day or to schedule a portrait session! Some wedding days are beautiful.

Some wedding days are joyful.

And then there are wedding days like Tonya and Andrew’s.

The kind where you can feel what this day MEANS. Not just to the couple, but to every person in the room.

From the moment the day began, there was a shared excitement among their family and friends that was impossible to miss. Every smile, every hug, every happy tear seemed to say the same thing:

“We’ve been waiting for this.”

It was a celebration filled with gratitude, deep love, and the kind of joy that comes from knowing exactly what matters.

Tonya and Andrew, what an honor it was to witness and document the beginning of this next chapter. 💛

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to see time in motion.

The first time I photographed this family, their babies were… babies. And now here we are—little personalities, big sibling energy, and another sweet little one on the way! I cannot wait to meet them this August.

Getting invited back for a fourth and fifth time never feels ordinary to me. It feels like being trusted with pieces of a family’s story I know they’ll want to hold onto forever.

And it doesn’t hurt that they are adorable and couldn’t take a bad photo if they tried! This session felt extra special because of the location. Guy and Lori love sailing, and I’m sure their little ones will, too, someday. Taking this pics at a marina was so fun and something different, and I’m OBSESSED. 💛

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎓✨

Last night I had the joy of celebrating graduation season with Miss Abi during her cap & gown mini session—and I’m still not over how special these sessions are. Her family hopped in a couple frames with her and I love that they will have these sweet memories captured forever.

Cap & gown minis can be added to any senior portrait package, or earned as a complimentary gift when you refer your friends. It’s such a fun way to celebrate this season and capture these final memories before graduation.

With the forecast calling for possible severe weather almost every day this week, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous about Cameron and Mikaela’s engagement session.

Since Cameron was driving all the way from Kentucky for these photos, rescheduling wasn’t exactly an easy option. So we watched the radar, hoped for the best, and prayed for a break in the weather.

And somehow… we got the most beautiful gift.

A perfect evening.
Clear skies.
The dreamiest golden light.
And two people so easy to celebrate.

It felt like such a reminder for me that sometimes we spend so much energy worrying about what might go wrong, only to be met with something better than we imagined.

So thankful everything aligned for Cameron and Mikaela’s session… because this glowy, joy-filled night was absolutely wonderful. So excited for your wedding later this year, you two! 💛
