We spent Valentines Day traveling to South Haven, Michigan. The ice was frozen and silent. The lighthouse stands as a testament to resilience against the constant battering of Lake Michigan. The sun finally broke its way through the clouds and warmed the shoreline after a long grey winter.
Just like that, a few days out, the snow is melted, and the first false spring has arrived. It's amazing how quickly the seasons change.
When I look back on the past couple of years, it almost feels like it went by almost as quickly.
Since I last posted here, Margaret and I welcomed another son into the family. We've settled into life in Grand Rapids. And, I have a lot more grey. As much as I am bothered by the passage of time, I also see the blessings of God that time brings.
If you've made it this far, thanks for sticking around. 🙂 Hopefully, I will see you out and about this spring.
