August is coming which means it is almost Breck Epic time!

We defer a LOT of people every year. Because life gets in the way. We try to be human about it. Organized. Gracious.

There are a lot of BAD refund/deferral/transfer policies out there. One of our North Stars has always been to think about what those titans of industry would do...and then try to do better.

It's been said that "Comparison is the thief of joy." Yeah. Maybe. It's also deliciously motivating. And when done right, provides ample opportunity to twirl mustaches.

The point is, we need a place to put all these deferral-istas, so we open registration for the coming year early every year. This period also coincides with Early Bird Pricing, the window where Epic is at its lowest price.

We're calling the period between now and July 10 SUPER-EARLY-MEGA-AWESOME PRICING. Standard issue Early Bird Pricing comes after that. Because the customer needs to distinguish price breaks. We're just doing our part to communicate. Giving the people what they want.

Epic 2024. 400 riders only. On the best endurance mountain bike course in the world. One that's only rideable for 3 months out of the year.

Today was nothing short of incredible. From the sunrise to all the amazing views along the trek to where we finished here in Dingboche at a comfy 14,055 feet in the sky. Tomorrow we will do an acclimation hike up to 5,000 meters (16,500’) and spend another night here in Dingboche before continuing our way to Everest Base Camp. Monday we will be there! Day two of trek and things are getting real. We ascended 3200 feet to the town of Namche Bazar. This place seems unreal and I am thankful for a much needed rest/acclimation day. In a week we will be at Everest Base Camp! Jamyang Jamtsho Wangchuk

Today was a trek by all meanings of the word. Miles upon miles of donkey trains leaving the trail beat, rocky and slick. Proper day finishing in the dark after 13 miles, 3700’ of descending and 3000’ of assenting. Man am I glad I started training for this 6 weeks ago! It paid off. Jamyang Jamtsho Wangchuk

Yesterday was the start of our journey to the beginning of our trek to Everest base camp. 13 hours on a bumpy road got us to Dudhkunda Lake at a gentle 10,000 feet in the dark. This morning we woke to this amazing view of Number Mountain standing proud at 7,000 meters. Today we continue on towards Everest and the views are about to become even more jaw dropping. // Jamyang Jamtsho Wangchuk Ben Clark

Here we go! I’m currently in Nepal setting off to trek to Everest base camp where we will be picking up ice being brought down from the summit. Jamyang Jamtsho Wangchuk will take this ice contained in a discarded plastic bottle on a journey to COP 28 in Dubai where he will present it to the world leaders, the bottle representing the climate crisis that is effecting his home country of Bhutan.

I’m currently in Nepal for the grandest adventure yet of my career. Be sure to give Ben Clark a follow to get a daily glimpse into our latest film project together as we trek to the south base camp of Mount Everest!!

Today the mission to bring the voices of the Himalayas to action began. Jamyang Jamtsho Wangchuk presented at ICIMOD and we shared the storytelling vision of the project to reach the world at COP 28 Dubai Climate Change Conference 2023 (UNFCCC). The bottle of water Jamyang is riding with contains glacier lake water from Bhutan’s Thorthomi lake that threatens downstream lives and livelihood as warming fills it beyond capacity-a now common issue effecting communities in Bhutan, Nepal, India, and Pakistan.

It was followed by a thoughful meeting with Director General Pema Gyamtsho, Second Party President of the Bhutan Peace and Prosperity Party and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly of Bhutan from 2013 -2020. Inspiring work and advice from inspiring leaders, we are honored to have the support of this organization!
