I am so sad to hear of the passing of John Fielder. It was his gallery in Denver that allowed me to really share my photography with many people and put me on my artistic path. He will be missed.

It's been a looong year for me. I haven't been out shooting or anything with the camera. But here's a blast from the past for the fall season.

Had to test out the new computer and see how well it would run some programs so dove into the archives!

Fingers crossed I can dust of the camera soon and get out and shoot something fun!

I was so honored to be invited back to photograph the Hilltop Community Resources, Inc. Men In Heels Race once again. It was really cool to have this event out at the airport and I can't wait to get through all the photos!

One more from Crested Butte the other weekend! This was the final evening I was in the area. While my original plan didn't work out, I always like to keep an eye on the sky behind me. Luckily all I had to do was recompose my image in the opposite direction and I was able to capture this scene. Just a little tip... Always look behind ya to see what's happening and be able to adjust quickly.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I know I sure did. I took the family camping and spent the weekend in the woods with 2 other very awesome families. It's a trip we take every year, although my family wasn't able to make it last year. It's so great to spend time with such close friends once again. While I didn't take the camera, I did take the drone. The kiddos loved seeing it take off and land! It's was such a blast.

This was just sunset on Saturday evening after a really nice little rainfall. I've got a couple more images I'll try share later this week.

I hope everyone is having a great week and looking forward to the weekend. Here's another little something for your evening viewing pleasure.

I sat in this spot for about 3 hours last Friday evening. As you can see the clouds were just awesome.... until sunset. I kept thinking to myself that this was going to be the epic sunset I have always dreamt about..... but alas.... Shortly after this was taken (about 7:15 pm) the clouds faded away and I was left with a clear sky. Oh well.... There's always next time!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic Monday. Personally I was a little sluggish today, but I made it through. Here's a little something for you to gaze at as you are kicked back and relaxing on this Monday evening. I wish you all a great and fantastic week!!

This image was actually captured on the very first evening I was in Crested Butte. Sometimes things work out and happen fast though. We had hiked up the hill scouting some possibilities and on the way back down, the sky got amazing. I had to scramble to find the right flowers to get a shot of. And lucky me..... I found this awesome group of 3 that I was able to get a very nice composition of.

How about 1 more for your evening viewing pleasure. In an area like Crested Butte, it's hard to find unique perspectives of areas. It's become so popular that they have even limited parking on the side of the road and available side of the road camping. So what does one do when they want to get a unique shot of Gothic Mountain, Snodgrass Mountain and Mt. Crested Butte in one shot... You take to the sky and let the drone do its thing. Sometimes it works out to be a certified drone pilot and knowing the rules an regard!
