I’m a corn-fed Iowa girl just Colorado dreaming. I specialize in creating vibrant, unique photographs for creative seniors and modern couples. I also specialize in drinking chai tea lattes, watching cat videos, baking, and watching Full House reruns. Every Wedding Collection comes with an album, an engagement session, and digital negatives! One of my keywords used to describe my style is “genuine” because I believe in capturing real moments and steering clear of those overly posed, what-are-you-doing-no-one-sits-like-that photos. I also believe in capturing real people, which is why my retouching is fairly limited — none of that plastic skin, Barbie-doll eyes here. Just the most real you in the most flattering way. My mission is to provide genuine, emotional artwork for our wedding photography clients. I'll be honest—I was fully booked when Leslie and James reached out. But when I heard their plans for a sunrise picnic elopement with this vendor team, I couldn't say no.
Sometimes you just know a day is going to be magic.

Bohemian setup overlooking Castleton. Fisher Towers glowing in the morning light. A couple who chose intimacy over everything else.

This is the kind of elopement that reminds me why I do this work. Not just capturing pretty moments, but documenting the intentional choice to start a marriage exactly the way you want to.

You could be legally married in Colorado in about an hour from right now ⏰

Here's how:

9:00 AM - Call county clerk to see if they take walk-ins
9:30 AM - Drive to county clerk's office with $30 cash + ID
10:00 AM - Apply for marriage license (takes ~10-15 minutes)
10:15 AM - Drive to literally any location in Colorado
10:45 AM - Exchange vows and self-solemnize your certificate
11:00 AM - Return to county clerk to record your marriage

BOOM. Married by lunch.

Now, do I recommend this? Not necessarily—you probably want to actually PLAN your elopement and enjoy it!

But the point is: Colorado makes it EASY. No waiting periods. No complicated requirements. No red tape.

Which means you can:

- Plan a surprise elopement
- Elope spontaneously while on vacation
- Do courthouse + adventure in the same day
- Keep things simple and stress-free
- Focus on the experience, not the bureaucracy

This flexibility is why I love Colorado for elopements. The state isn't going to make your marriage complicated. The legal part is the EASY part.

When your bride works at a garden center and has been planning her wedding florals for MONTHS, grew up around vintage VWs, and wore her grandmother's wedding crown passed down through four generations—you KNOW the details are going to be chef's kiss

This Kendall Mountain camping wedding had:
🪻Wildflower meadow ceremony
🚌VW buses as decor AND transportation
🔥Bonfire reception as the sun set over the San Juans
🎇Sparkler send-off before riding to the Grand Imperial Hotel in a VW with cans tied to the back
🎉A wheelbarrow parade down Main Street (because Silverton traditions are amazing)
