motherhood is magical in every way, arguably one of the most beautiful experiences a person can have. creating and sustaining life, growing a tiny human inside you, and then nurturing them once they’re earthside.
having the ability to sustain that tiny baby for that first year. learning everything about them: from the shape of their little nose, the smell of their skin, and the feel of their tiny fingers as they learn every thing about you too.
whether you choose to breast feed or not is not necessarily relevant. but, what an incredible design, mothers and their ability to nourish their children. to create a bond that is entirely your own. to share the most intimate moments with the little life your love has made.
this month is for the nursing mamas. the ones who are still nursing. the ones who tried. the ones who pumped. the ones who supplemented. the ones who’s journey looked different than they imagined. the ones who’s babies are grown, but still remember just how wonderful those moments were.
it’s no small feat.
and it does in fact deserve to be celebrated. 🖤✨
