A little landscape photo I grabbed while I was up there for this senior session that I thought was too cool not to share!

Just to give you an idea of how high up we were—that waterfall you see there is the start of the Nisqually River! 😳

Definitely puts the whole “I was 10x slower climbing that mountain” thing into perspective. 😂 But man, those views were WORTH IT! ❤

When a client asks me to go on an adventure with them for their session, I’m pretty much always going to say YES. 😂❤️ Even if it means I’m moving about 10 times slower than you while climbing that mountain!

But those views at the top? 100% worth every step. Between the massive amounts of fog that kept rolling in, and even getting hit with some hail, I’d say we still did pretty good for his senior session.

Sometimes the best senior photos happen when you’re willing to hike a little, get a little dirty, and just embrace whatever Mother Nature throws at you. And this view was SO worth it!! Thankyou to the Hunter's for taking me on such a great adventure!

🚨 IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ IF YOU’VE EVER HAD A SESSION WITH ME 🚨

I have some really sad and unexpected news to share. 😭

After more than 10 years of using PASS to deliver and store your galleries, I just found out that PASS is shutting down in October. 💔

This means that ALL galleries currently hosted through PASS will eventually disappear, and once they’re gone, I will not be able to recover those images from PASS.

If you have ever received a gallery from Misti Dawn Photography through PASS, PLEASE take a few minutes to log in and DOWNLOAD YOUR IMAGES BEFORE OCTOBER 1ST, 2026.

⚠️ Please do not wait until the last minute! ⚠️

I know many of you have galleries from years ago sitting there because you knew you could always go back and download them when you needed them. Unfortunately, that will no longer be the case. 😭

I am absolutely heartbroken about this. PASS has been such a huge part of my business for over a decade, and I've trusted them with thousands of your precious memories. 💔

I am working on figuring out the best new gallery system moving forward, but right now my biggest priority is making sure YOU have your images safely downloaded.

❤️ PLEASE SHARE THIS POST with anyone who has ever had a session with me. Some of my past clients may not follow my page anymore, and I would hate for anyone to lose their memories simply because they didn't know.

Hey guys!! 👋🏼 I know I haven’t posted in FOREVER, but I promise that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy as can be behind the scenes! 😂

Between my daughter’s pregnancy (only 3 weeks until baby arrives!! ), some health stuff, constantly chasing the mountain (which has only actually showed herself ONE time out of the five times I’ve been up there this summer 🙄😂), and getting to meet up with all of you fabulous clients for some seriously gorgeous sessions… social media has just kind of taken a back seat!

So over the next few days, I’m going to play a little catch-up and share some of what I’ve been up to over the past month-ish. ❤️

And what better way to start than with some of these gorgeous mountain sessions?! These are from the July 25th event and event though it was cloudy as can be it was so gorgeous up there!

I’ve had some absolutely beautiful sessions lately, and I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been creating!

AND… 👀🍂 Fall Minis are coming!! I’ll be announcing all the details within the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled!

📅 October 18th – A gorgeous river location filled with fall trees, a beautiful bridge crossing the river, and riverfront spots for photos. 🍁🌲

Sweet little Prairie Sky came in for her newborn session at over a month old, and I'll admit, I wasn't sure how many of my typical newborn poses we'd be able to get.

Well, this little miss proved me wrong!

She slept, she posed, and she was absolutely perfect. She made my job so easy and gave us such a beautiful gallery. Just goes to show that even when babies are a little older, it's never too late to capture these precious memories ✨

This sweet little guy was originally scheduled to come see me around 2½ weeks old, but mom quickly realized just how fast those newborn days were flying by. Before she knew it, he was already changing, and she didn't want to miss a thing.

So we moved his session up and captured him at just over a week old, freezing all those tiny details that seem to change overnight. 💙

One of my favorite things about newborn photography is preserving these moments before they're gone.

Little Mr. Roman came in wide awake and ready to party for his newborn session.
This little guy had me laughing with all the serious glares he was giving me. He was determined to keep an eye on everything going on around him!

But even the spiciest babies can't resist a good wrap job. Once he was all snugged in, he drifted right off to sleep and even gave me a couple of sweet smiles 🥹💙

I'd say that's a successful newborn session!
