The Walker Family

This family made it so easy to capture true joy. When I told them to laugh at each other, they did and they kept laughing until their eyes were almost tearing up! Amy wanted some updated photos, cause well...it had been 10 years, and she also wanted to get a few of Ian in his cap + gown since this is a big year for him.

Our 30 minute session quickly flew by but I loved ever second of capturing this special family. And then we stood around and talked for almost another 30 minutes just catching up on life 💚

Meet Clara!!

Clara is no stranger to the MLCP feed and I selfishly pray that she continues to pop up in the years to come because I just love her!

My momma heart couldn't take it when she said she wanted to take a few shots at EM Holt, her elementary school 💛🖤 But I shouldn't have been surprised because that's just the sweet type of soul that she is!

I can already see her being the most empathetic nurse at any facility/hospital that is lucky enough to have her one day.

My prayer since starting this was that God would send me ‘my people’. Not just paying clients but people that I can connect with, serve and people that add to my life.

Over the past 2 years I can wholeheartedly say He has been so faithful to me. Doing immeasurably more than I could ask or imagine 🩶

I’ve met seniors that I am genuinely rooting for and following their journey as they move from high school to adulthood. Some off to college, some off to the workplace, but each hold a special space in my heart & prayers.

I’ve met family’s that have grown to be friends way after their gallery has gone out. Women who ask me about follow-up doctor’s appointments & women who ask what I order at a restaurant when I post about my obsession with it!

I’ve been invited to graduation parties, birthday parties, wished happy anniversary and happy birthday by people that I otherwise would have never met had I not followed this calling 🥹

Stepping behind the camera is a gift & being trusted by people to document precious moments in time is an honor. I am praying for big things this next year of MLC Photography, for opportunities, vision and so many more divine appointments to meet my people 🙏

What a dream it is that I get to capture the sweetest and prettiest people ever for a living 🤍

Madison is going places, well to UNCW to be exact, but I mean in life the girl's going places!! You don't get to be voted Student Body President by being quiet and having a go with the flow attitude. You're a get stuff done person and people know it!

Madison was so personable and kind during her session, I have no doubt that she is going to excel in the nursing field.

Meet Lance!

Sometimes it's other people's kids that are graduating that seem to hit you harder than your own!

I have literally known Lance since the day he was born. Somehow time has flown by, and he's got his license, a girlfriend, graduating high school and going off to start his career in the electrical field.

Me & his mom always joked when parenting got hard with the old saying, "Have kids they say, it'll be fun they say"....well this is one of those truly fun seasons. All the hard work and nagging was worth it my friend, he's off to make his way!

Maybe it's because my son loved Curious George, or maybe its because my momma heart misses life with littles, but this session was so precious to me. It brought up all the 'where has time gone' feels! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

When one of your favorite seniors books you again for cap+gown pictures 🙌 It's like the heavens opened and rained down goodness on you!!

It's easy to see why Clara is one of my favorites, but more than what you see is how genuinely kind, polite and sweet she is. She is going to make one heck of a nurse!
