I’ve been enjoying the slow summer season but I had to come back and share more from this sweet maternity session 🩷

We had planned for sunset but impending evening rain called for a pivot, a 4:45am alarm was set, coffee was had and it was the BEST change of events we could have had! The storm clouds rolling in and out were the most amazing backdrop for this sweet family!

I can’t wait to meet this baby girl & document every big moment in her precious life 🥹 Of course we had to include juju, Anna & Kolin’s first baby girl, in these! I think she was the only one really awake and ready to roll at 6:30am 😂

A lot of things go into creating a beautiful family photo. A pretty location, sunset glow, coordinated outfits….yes BUT often the heart behind the reason for the picture is what makes it most beautiful.

Sometimes the most beautiful image is one where you just want to capture your family as they are in this season. When the younger generation recognizes the fleeting time they have left with their aging family members 💛

Rhett + Reese 🩵

Last year when I photographed these sweet siblings, Rhett was 4 and Reese was 3 months old. Now he's about to start Kindergarten and sweet baby girl is on the move! Time stops for no one; it was so sweet to spend some time with the Phillips family this morning!
