COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT – March 2nd 2021
Sadly, despite widespread vaccination and a reduction in infection rates, it seems May will arrive just too early to tour.
On Tuesday February 23rd, the Irish government announced an extension to the current travel restrictions within Ireland until April 5th.
Early indications are that most hotels, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions around Ireland will not re-open in time for May.
Given this level of uncertainty, we believe that it is in the best interest of our guests, driver guides, suppliers and, not least, the local communities who host us, to now cancel May tours.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR GUESTS BOOKED TO TRAVEL?
*** If you were booked to travel with us in May 2021, we have already been in contact by email.***

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE GROUND IN IRELAND?
On Tuesday February 23rd, the Irish government announced its plans for the coming months.
Level 5 Travel Restrictions have been extended until April 5th 2021.
After that date, restrictions will be eased on a staggered basis, in line with a decline in infection rates.
Level 5 is the highest restriction available. All pubs and restaurants are closed and a 5km limit exists on personal travel. The extension of Level 5 is designed to continue reducing the spread of the virus.
Education - Schools, universities and creches have already returned on a phased basis, beginning from yesterday, March 1st.
Vaccination - Administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Moderna vaccines is now well underway across the island of Ireland.
At least 36% of Northern Irish citizens and over 7.5% of people in the Republic of Ireland are already vaccinated. Infection and hospitalisation rates continue to fall.
By the end of March 2021, the Irish government plans to have administered 1.25 million vaccine doses.
Other Measures - Wearing of masks and social distancing remain compulsory in shops and other indoor spaces.
