Extended family sessions at the lake 🚤🤍

Gather everyone. Bring the boat, the snacks, the chaos, the cousins, and all the little traditions that make your family yours. Because these are the moments you’ll come back to.

The kids jumping in the lake.
The hats with the sayings Grandma always says — “Look at the hair on that one” or “holy crow.” 😂
The belly laughs, the wet hair, the little ones running wild, and everyone simply enjoying being together.

And yes—let the kids be kids. I’ll wrangle them for the photos we need, then let them run, play, and be exactly who they are.

I might even have Grandma pick her favorite big grandkid. No hard feelings were taken (🤞😅)

Because extended family photos don’t have to feel stiff or overly posed. They can feel like your family — loud, playful, sentimental, a little chaotic, and full of love.

There’s something so special about realizing that photography was never just about taking pictures for me — it’s about building relationships.

It’s showing up fully in the moment, getting to know the people in front of my camera, and becoming a small part of their story. It’s creating a space where families can be themselves, where memories are made naturally, and where their vision comes to life.

But my favorite part? When they come back.
Year after year. Milestone after milestone. Watching their babies grow, their families change, and their lives unfold through my lens. At some point, clients become familiar faces, conversations become catching up with old friends, and their sessions feel less like work and more like getting together with people I genuinely love knowing.

They trust me with some of the most meaningful seasons of their lives — and that is something I’ll never take lightly.

Almost 9 years ago, I picked up a camera without knowing just how much it would change my life. I thought I was choosing photography. Really, I was choosing my people. 🤍
And what a beautiful gift I was given.

Life’s been crazy lately: TWINS, moving because a 3 bedroom house is too small, buying a new vehicle because we won’t be able to fit in one vehicle.
I told CJ that the jump from 2 to 4 kids is a bit dramatic. He replied with “Do you know their mom?!” Welcoming all chaos for the rest of the year before our life settles and I’m in the awaited newborn double bubble. 💗📸

Cece’s senior session 💗
I had such a wonderful time! Cece came from Texas and endured the wonderful weather of Michigan. The most perfect sunny skies, a whole fog storm that rolled in, and then ended with the most beautiful sunset and seeing deers swim in the water.
