Well, the cat's out of the bag - and hopefully in your mailbox soon! I am incredibly honored to share that one of my eclipse photos landed on the cover of Stio's Winter Solstice Catalog.
A cover shot has always been one of the most prestigious honors any great action sports photograph can receive. And in today's digital world, there aren't as many tangible page one's as there used to be...
However, what really makes this special for me is that the skier pictured is none other than my little brother, Mac, and we captured this photograph at the place we grew up skiing - Sugarloaf Mountain.
Not visible in this image, but equally important to this project, are all of the folks who helped make this photoshoot possible - the rest of the athletes who had just two minutes and eighteen seconds to each execute their turns; my friends and family who helped carry gear, run cameras, and dealt with all my anxiety leading up to eclipse day; and all the awesome folks who believed in this crazy idea that had a huge likelyhood of not working at all. I owe them more than a thank you - I wouldn't be posting this today if it wasn't for all of them!
A huge shoutout to Stio as well - not just for their support on this project, but for nearly a decade of awesome collaborations together. They have been an incredible partner to work with and I look forward to many more in the years to come!
