Bruce Hedrick is a Nashville recording artist and award-winning singer. He recently made his second visit to perform for a service at The Recovery Church Shelby which usually meets at the Trinity Pentecostal Church in Shelby, NC.
Hedrick brought encouragement and joy to others with his music ministry. Many in attendance of Hedrick's spiritual-filled concert are still battling addictions. Others have overcome their addictions and lend their love and support to people who need a place to work out their battles in a non-judgmental setting.
Recovery Church Shelby is part of a network of 100 churches. As a movement, it has been a blessing to many who have reached out for help.

As drugs and alcohol have swept over communities across America most families have been affected in one way or another. The church network is designed for those who need spiritual, emotional and physical healing and the resources help them to get clean and grow closer to God. Deciding to live a life of sobriety is one of the toughest roads to take and is not always achieved on the first try. Sometimes, it takes multiple attempts. The Recovery Church helps bridge the gap between one's substance abuse lifestyle to a lifestyle of sobriety. "A church created by the Recovery Community for the Recovery Community" (Recovery Church Shelby) is a safe place to talk about the struggles they are facing.
The Recovery Church Shelby is led by Pastor Andrew Freden and his wife Jennifer. It is held every Wednesday, at the Trinity Pentecostal Church located at 1214 N. Post Rd. Shelby, NC. The Fredens dedicate their time to helping others through the things they also suffered from in their past. During the service, many are led to God's grace, given to us through his son, Jesus Christ. Many church visitors bring their families and friends because they also play a vital role in their loved one's journey.
Before the concert, many accepted a serenity cross from the pastor's wife, Jennifer. Accepting a serenity cross hand-made by a supporter of Hedrick's ministry, the attendees step forward to show their renewed commitment to follow Jesus and continue their path of sobriety. This commitment is an important part of success for those who are seeking God's help as they seek to overcome addiction.
The church members, their families, and friends absorbed the healing power of Hedrick's music. He encouraged others to continue their journey to sobriety and to thank God for how far they have come. During a career spanning over three decades Hedrick has performed at churches, community events and nursing homes across the United States. Hedrick's music is on all streaming platforms.
Hedrick was recently nominated for the awards: Musical Evangelist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year by Inspirational Country Music Association & Awards.
The Inspirational Country Music Awards will be held in Nashville, TN, on May 29th. 2024 at The Grand Ole Opry House. Tickets are still available if you would like to attend the ICM Awards.
