Lucy & Brad’s engagement session pt 2 at Fort Negley in Nashville, overlooking the city at golden hour.

After adventuring at the falls, we took this lovely couple to one of the lesser known places in the city that have some of the best views! Lucy being a librarian (get your library cards y’all!) I asked her to bring some of her favorite reads with us and have a little reading date with Brad and the photos are something straight out of a love story 📖

As the sunset, and the city lights started to glow, we were able to get some amazing shots of the city we call home. A great way to end an amazing engagement session if you ask me 😏

Lucy and Brad’s engagement pt 1 at Twin Falls 😍 As always, this waterfall did not disappoint. We would build a house here if we could, because we just cannot get enough of these views.

It is our favorite thing, finding couples who enjoy this sense of adventure, traversing the rocks to get down right next to the falls, water spraying everywhere on the most beautiful days. The perfect icebreaker when first meeting in person! Feels like we could take on anything together (especially wedding days that can some times feel so stressful 😂)

Yes, yes you do. But not for the reason you might expect.

After all, there’s no going back. There’s no rewind button. You’ll never be the same two people you are today. And in twenty years, you’ll cherish those engagement photos more than you realize.

We’ve seen hundreds of weddings. These are the things most people forget about when building their wedding day timeline.

•Detail photos take long than you’d think. Dress, suit, shoes, rings, watch, tie, earrings, bracelet and necklace are just the short list and make sure every piece is in place before we snap photos.

•Give yourself the gift of time. No one wants to feel rushed, especially on your wedding day. Go early for hmua and let yourself relax the rest of the morning.

•Golden Hour time varies by date, location and sometime even weather but trust us, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to be shroud in golden hour sunlight on your wedding day.

•Time to relax before the ceremony is a MUST. Not only do you want to stay hidden while your guests arrive, you’ll want that extra time to center yourself, and your thoughts and your heart so this momentous moment.
