It’s been a while since I last posted here. While preparing for a newborn and family session this morning, I found myself reflecting on how blessed I am to have clients who return to me for life’s biggest milestones—again and again. It is deeply humbling to be trusted with those moments and to know that my clients value the time and care I put into each session. Today felt different, maybe because I finally had a quiet moment to hear my own thoughts. This August will mark 20 years since I began building this business—20 years of doing something I love, creating cherished memories and heirlooms for families. During the past 14 years, I have also been raising six amazing children. Balancing motherhood, homeschooling, deadlines, and running a small business has not always been easy. Any small business owner knows that going home does not mean the work is done. There is always another task waiting and carrying that responsibility while caring for a family can feel heavy at times. Still, I continue to trust God, focus on what matters, and pray about the rest. My schedule may be limited, but I am still here. I am still taking pictures, embracing life, and adjusting how I share my work. In today’s world, I am more cautious about posting client images, and I want people to know I respect their privacy. I do not share many personal images for that same reason, and nearly 90% of my clients prefer not to have their photos posted on social media. I understand and honor that. Above all, I am truly grateful for every client who has supported me over the past 20 years. Thank you not only for your business, but for supporting a small business, a family, and a dream. Most of all, thank you for allowing me to capture your milestones while also allowing me to be a mom—the most important and hardest job I have ever had.
