Okayyyy… I think I might finally be ready to let y’all see a little more of what actually happens around here. 😂

Because the finished pictures are beautiful and sweet and perfectly polished…

But THIS is what I love too. :)

The tiny baby that walks through my door, the wrapping, the soothing, the setting everything up, the little peeks at the camera, the parents watching it all happen… and eventually getting to see what we created together.

There is SO much that happens behind the scenes of a newborn session that you guys never get to see.

And apparently I have decided that Instagram isn’t enough anymore because I’ve been tossing around the idea of making some little YouTube videos too. 😂

Nothing fancy. Nothing overly produced. Just more of this.

More babies.
More behind the scenes.
More of me showing you what a session actually looks like.
Probably some chaos because… have we met? lol :)

So consider this my very unofficial announcement that I think I’m coming to YouTube. 👀

Do you ever look at old pictures of you and your siblings and just stare at all the little things?
The clothes you wore.
How little your brother was.
The house you grew up in.
How you always seemed to be piled on top of each other in every picture.
And the funny thing is... you probably don't actually remember a lot of it.
You remember it because you've seen the pictures.
There are whole pieces of our childhood that we only know because someone thought to pick up a camera and save them for us.
And now YOUR babies are living those years.
This little guy won't remember being this tiny. He won't remember the way his big brother looked at him, held him, kissed him, or just how BIG big brother seemed when he was brand new.
But one day, he'll have the pictures. :)
That's one of the reasons I've been so excited about adding our Sibling Newborn Collection. You don't have to be in the pictures if you don't want to. You don't have to make it a huge family session.
Just bring me those babies.
Let me document what their life looked like together before they were old enough to remember it themselves.
Because someday they'll be the ones sitting around looking through old pictures saying, “Oh my gosh... LOOK how little we were.”
And they'll get to remember a childhood they were too little to remember. ❤️

Mama made a last-minute executive decision... and I fully supported it. :)
She originally booked an All Wrapped Newborn Mini, but decided to upgrade to a Petite Newborn Session at the last minute—and looking through this gallery, I am SO glad she did:)
Our All Wrapped Mini is perfect for the mama who wants to keep things quick, simple and budget-friendly. Baby stays wrapped in a swaddle the entire time, which keeps the session short and sweet—but it also means we're a little more limited in the poses and variety we can create.
You CAN absolutely purchase additional images from your All Wrapped gallery after your session...
ORRRR...
You can be like this mama and say, “You know what? Give me the pictures.” 😂
Our Petite, Sibling and Full Newborn Sessions include EVERY file I edit—and because apparently I enjoy making your decision about which version to print even harder, you get every one in color AND black & white. :)
And THAT is why I'm posting both versions today, because excuse me... how exactly was I supposed to choose?!

Apparently I need to be MUCH more specific with my directions during sibling pictures lol:)

Me: “Okay, give your baby sister a LITTLE squeeze…”

Big sister: **SAY LESS.**

And then proceeded to love that baby with EVERY OUNCE OF HER BODY :)

Cue Haley and Grandma immediately reaching in like, “Okayyyyyy that's enough love!!” lol:)

That sweet little face. Those tiny arms wrapped all the way around her baby sister.

She wasn't trying to take her out, y'all.

She just had a LOT of love to give. :)

And honestly... this is exactly why I love photographing siblings with their new babies. Give me the perfectly posed picture, absolutely.

But also give me **THIS.**

The slightly-too-tight hugs.
The aggressive kisses.
The “that's MY baby” energy.
All of it:)

Because one day Mama is going to show these two this picture and say, **“See? You've been getting on each other's nerves since the very beginning.”** :)

We brought big sister and baby sister in for a few pictures during Joy-Marie's two year old cake smash and y'all... the GIGGLES. The feeding each other cake. The little looks back and forth. The absolute chaos that comes from putting three sisters in front of a cake :)
These are my grandbabies, so maybe I'm a tiny bit biased... but THESE are the pictures that get me.
Because one day, the cake and the decorations won't really matter.
But they'll have pictures of what it looked like to be little together.
Three sisters.
One cake.
A whole lot of giggling.
And a Sugar ,( my grandma name) behind the camera trying not to eat them all up:)
Happy TWO, sweet girl.

Sometimes you want the newborn pictures… you just don't want the whole THING lol:)

You don't need a big elaborate session.
You don't need to spend half your day at the studio.
And you definitely don't need one more thing to plan when you just had a BABY.

That's exactly why I created our **All Wrapped Newborn Mini Sessions**:)

Baby stays sweetly swaddled for the entire session, we keep everything simple and beautiful, and we're usually finished in about 45 minutes to an hour.

That's it.

You come in.
I wrap that sweet baby up.
We make some beautiful pictures.
And I send you back home to your pajamas and newborn snuggles lol:)

Because sometimes you don't need 100 pictures.

You just need enough to remember **this.**

That tiny face.
Those little fingers peeking out of the wrap.
The way they somehow fit into the smallest little spaces.

And because these sessions are shorter and simpler, they're also a more budget-friendly way to make sure you don't completely miss documenting the newborn stage.

So if you've been putting off booking because a full newborn session feels like too much right now…

I have SO MUCH BTS CONTENT, Y’ALL 😂

Haley does such a great job capturing all these little behind-the-scenes moments for me to share… and then I proceed to completely neglect them lol:)

At this point, I’m pretty sure my BTS folder is like a sad little puppy sitting in the window watching me walk away every day like…

“COME BACKKKKKK! YOU SAID YOU WERE GONNA POST MEEEEEE!” 😂

So today I decided I was FINALLY going to give all that beautiful BTS content the attention it deserves...

And naturally, I posted a picture **I took of Haley taking the BTS pictures.**

I STILL DIDN’T POST ONE OF HERS. 😂😂😂

Haley, I promise your pictures are coming.

Probably.

Eventually.

Until then, please enjoy this behind-the-scenes photo of the person responsible for all the behind-the-scenes photos I refuse to post lol:)

There’s something about sibling photos that gets me every single time:)

Think about it...

A sibling relationship can be one of the longest relationships we have in our entire lives.

Long after the baby snuggles are gone, these two will have a whole lifetime of memories together.

They’ll grow up under the same roof.
They’ll know the same family stories.
They’ll laugh about things no one else understands.
They’ll probably fuss like crazy at times lol:)
And one day, they may be the ones reminding each other what it was like to grow up in the family they shared.

But right now?

One of them is brand new to the world... and the other is already holding him like he’s been waiting his whole life for this job.

THIS is why sibling photos matter so much to me.

We aren’t just taking a picture of your children together. We’re documenting the very beginning of a relationship that may walk beside them for the rest of their lives.

And goodness... if that isn’t worth taking a picture of, I don’t know what is:)

This is also exactly why I added our new **Sibling Collection**. If mama and dad don’t want to be in the photos this time, THAT’S OKAY. Bring me those babies and let’s document all of this anyway:)
