CREWS RESPONDED TO GARAGE FIRE

On June 5th at approximately 6:27 PM, crews from Greater Naples Fire, North Collier Fire, City of Naples Fire, and Collier EMS responded to a maintenance garage fire at 11046 Lost Lake Drive.

Fire arriving units found smoke coming from one of the garage doors at the maintenance area of the community.

Crews made entry and extinguished the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

TWO BRUSH FIRES BURNING IN COLLIER COUNTY

Yesterday afternoon, two separate brush fires were sparked on the south and north sides of alligator alley.

The north fire, “Rob Road”, is near the Collier County Landfill and is 102 acres at 90% containment.

The south fire, “Rifle Range Rd”, is off of Sable Palm Rd in Picayune Strand State Forest and is 650 acres at 35% containment.

A Lee County Strike team of firefighters and equipment was requested.

Over 70 firefighters from across Collier and Lee County were on scene. Including some from Lee County Airport Authority, Immokalee Fire, San Carlos Park Fire, Sanibel Island Fire and Marco Island Fire.

First responders were on scene for over seven hours.

Air units from the Collier County Sheriffs office and Florida State Forestry were making water drops onto both fires.

Monday afternoon, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office held the annual Fallen Officers memorial.

Public safety representatives from across Collier County, State and Federal officials, came to honor the fallen officers of the Collier County.
