Summer weddings are in full swing!

I was thrilled when I got the call from a couple of my oldest and dearest friends asking me to photograph their eldest son's wedding, and as I learned the details of their love story and what they were planning for the day I couldn't help feeling all the feels.

It was to be a small intimate wedding just outside of Zion National Park. Being a multicultural couple they each chose the traditions that meant the most to them, kinda merging the two cultures, a marriage if you will.... it all sounded so romantic.

The night before the wedding all of their closest friends and family gathered in one of the cabins while Sushma (who turns out is STUNNING btw) and her besties made these incredibly delicious momo's for everyone, while Tristen was whipping up a batch of hot buttered rum.

Brian and Lisa along with their loved ones all traveled from Colorado to the Oregon coast where the couple were married at Heceta Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast, a charming B&B situated on a hillside overlooking Heceta Beach and a short walk from the lighthouse.
The day started out foggy and chilly, which just added to the romance in my opinion. The mighty pacific served as the perfect backdrop for their intimate ceremony, the view from the lighthouse was breathtaking and by the end of the day they sky opened up long enough for us to play on the beach.

Chad and Jenna are both wildlife biologists. They met 10 years ago as graduate students in Fisheries and Wildlife at Oregon State University; Chad's work focuses a lot on mammals and Jenna's on birds. Mushroom foraging is a hobby that they both share, and they love any opportunity to get outside and explore nature.

They've put several years of hard work into cleaning up the acre in Yachats where they got married. It's a truly special place and they were both very grateful to be able to share this magical patch of forest with friends and family.
