A blast from our blast. CMC Photography students in the field. Experiences like this one still take place every May in our Utah Field Course led by Professor Derek Johnston and instructor Seth Andersen.

Before it was "content," it was craft. This throwback captured a CMC photography field class out in the desert, learning to compose a shot the old-school way.

"My name is Kai Cano. I’m a multimedia artist, photographer, and writer, and I run a magazine called Y2K that spotlights upcoming artists, musicians, and real issues that often go ignored. My work is centered on amplifying silenced voices and directly challenging injustice, creating a platform where people can speak freely and be seen. From the beginning of the semester, I had the sole intention to create work that followed in the footsteps of those who I revered deeply.
