For years, my focus has been creating heirloom artwork for families and mothers.

What many people don't know is that I also reserve a very small number of dates each year for weddings.

Not ballroom weddings with hundreds of guests.
The kind held on family farms.
In the woods.
Beside a creek.
On a favorite hiking trail.

The kind where the focus is less on production and more on people.
I officially opening four wedding dates each year for couples planning intimate weddings and elopements.

If your wedding is centered around family, connection, and meaningful moments, I'd love to hear your story.

I photograph only a limited number of weddings each year, allowing me to provide a personalized experience and create artwork that preserves your story long after your wedding day has passed.

I don’t think I’m someone who “avoids technology.”
I think I’m someone who needs space away from it in order to create well.

I can be very efficient in my photography business. My systems are intentional. My client experience is organized. I respect people’s time deeply.

But when everything becomes screens and typing and managing… I start to feel disconnected from why I started this in the first place.

So I step away from it on purpose.
I paint with my kids.
I write notes by hand.

I make little things that don’t require a screen at all.
Not because I’m trying to build a brand around “handmade,” but because that’s how I reset.
And somehow, that always makes me a better photographer.

Have you ever gotten homegrown flowers from me… or a watercolor painting tucked into your gallery… or a handwritten note that was probably a little longer than necessary?

I think about that sometimes.
Because I know I run a very efficient photography business. I care about systems, I care about timelines, I care about delivering work well and on time. I’m not scattered in my process.

But I also need breaks from technology in order to stay connected to the part of me that creates.

I can sit at my kitchen table with my kids and paint for hours without feeling drained.
I can press flowers, write notes, or create something by hand and feel more like myself.

And then I can step back into my business with a clear mind.
For me, it’s not about choosing between efficiency and creativity.
It’s about balancing both so neither one takes over completely.
Because at the heart of it, my work is still about care.

Sometimes I stop and wonder if it feels unusual in a world where everything is becoming faster, more polished, more automated.

Creek season is here.

Barefoot babies.
Rolled up jeans.
Little hands collecting rocks.
Wet hems and sun kissed shoulders.

The way summer feels when you’re in it before you realize it will someday become a memory.

My Creek Heirloom Sessions are designed to feel slow, playful, and honest. We’ll let the kids explore, splash, climb, cuddle, and just be together while I create artwork from the middle of it all.

These sessions are less about perfect smiles and more about preserving your family exactly as they are in this season.

June availability is already very limited:
• June 12
• June 16
• June 19

July still has several weekday openings available, along with two Saturday evening dates:
• July 18
• July 25

August creek sessions are now open as well.

If you’ve been wanting artwork that feels like summer itself — this is your season. 🌿

Message me for details or to begin planning your family’s Heirloom Session.
