Hard to believe this video is 7 years old already....and I think it still holds up. We only had two filming days for this gig. We stuffed a lot into those 2 days! This was also the first time we used an iPhone for a shot...seen at :28. It did a great job exposing for the foreground and the sky at the same time and this is when there was no image stabilization built into the phone at that time.

When we capture footage for a longer form video, we often suggest capturing a short intro from a number of employees so we can create what we call our 'hero clips', bite sized social snacks that puts one individual’s story front and center, showing the heart and human side of an organization.

I love working on projects like these, where we’re not just telling stories, but actually making a difference in children’s lives and the people who support them. "My heart has grown three sizes. Every day it grows three more sizes just by being with all of my kids." We need more people like this in our education system, people that actually care.

At CCRES, making a difference in the lives of students with learning and behavioral challenges is at the heart of everything they do. As a nonprofit, they are not focused on profits, instead they are focused on people.

Their passionate team works closely with schools and families to provide the support kids need to succeed, reinvesting every dollar back into the communities they serve. It’s about showing up, making an impact, and being part of something bigger.

As a filmmaker, I love working on projects like this where the goal is real change and community impact. Telling stories that actually matter.
