Simply out. of. this. world. I would say this was one of the most soul lifting concert experiences I have ever had. : amazing artist, kindest of souls, savant and absolute star. ⭐️
He conducted the audience to be instrument onto itself. We gladly and almost instinctively bent to his gentle direction - creating our own harmonies, clapping on queue, calling and answering,
Several times he said that we’re making melodies to heal ourselves. And that was collectively felt by a gracious audience.
We wandered through the halls of blues, classical piano, New Orleans jazz, reggae-funk, childhood singalongs, rock, s**t and soul.
is a warm light for good, and we were so thankful and lucky to bask in his glow for an evening.
Take Nothing For Granted.

Top 9 of 2023.
Ok, I have a long and thoughtfully drafted reflection for the year in the works… but alas… NYE has arrived and the kiddos are calling my name. So… it’ll be a “Looking Back in the New Year” post to come soon.
I am eternally thankful for the support, the love, the encouragement and the incredible friendships that have come my way this year. It was full of ups and downs, but the journey has been beautiful. See you in 2024!

is wrapping up 2023 and the year with a big ‘ol musical bow. They kicked off the first of FOUR shows with the SOLD OUT Holiday Jam at
The marathon double set and encore was packed with vibrant color and sound and included some big surprise snippets from the likes of Taylor Swift, the Pixies, Grateful Dead, Bill Withers and Gnarls Barley’s repertoires.
It’s shows like this that make me sad to see 2023 go, but the future remains bright for these sparkling stars and for live music in Chicago.

celebrated 50 Years and kicked off the Holiday Jam shows

The legendary band loped through this past weekend in honor of their 50 incredible years bringing the soulful rock sounds of East L.A. to the masses.
And what a journey it’s been. The veteran wolves of rock’n roll blend the sounds from their Mexican and Latin roots with soulful blues, swaying R&B rhythms, Tex-Mex, country, zydeco, and more - crossing genres as they have criss crossed the country over the last five decades.
The multi-Grammy winners reveled in the season’s holiday spirit on stage - joking with each other and playing up to their loyal fans - singing along to every word. They have the kind of communication and tight playing style that only can be hard-earned by playing with your blood brothers over the course of a lifetime. And we are forever grateful for the impact they have made in our musical hearts.
Cheers to 50 more!

This is the ONLY kind of dinner party that I ever want to be invited to again! left nothing on the table as they absolutely slayed the last show of their U.S. tour last night
Ears and minds were blown as the sold out crowd feasted on the electric set. I have a feeling we’ll never get the chance to dine with them in such an intimate venue again … they are destined for a seat at the biggest of tables.
Their debut album Prelude to Ecstacy drops 2/2/24.

Good morning, friends, family and dear clients.
Happy November! We made it!
Just a little update - the non-stop outdoor shooting phase of the fall season is winding down, and now the cozy edit cave is calling my name.
Sessions from the October 21st weekend are next in the edit queue.
Just a friendly reminder, that I am a full-time solo-preneur, and like all my fellow working mamas out there, doing all the things to keep the family and business running as smoothly as possible.
Here's an updated timeline for peak season deliverables:
Family Sessions: 2-3 weeks
Headshots: 7-10 days
Commercial Shoots: 4-6 weeks
I usually get things turned around sooner than that - but with the shoot reschedules due to the fall's crazy weather, and additional publication deadlines, I want to be open with y'all.
I am so very thankful for each of my Lyla Lane families.

The captivating stopped by before their sold out show for an intimate performance to celebrate Terri Hemmert’s 50th anniversary at the station. Their voice and presence are absolutely mesmerizing. I got all the feels during this daytime performance. And their unique, crystallized voice set the tone for the weekend to kick off right. In. Credible.

There are not enough words to accurately describe how much Terri Hemmert means to us all - all of Chicago, every Beatles fan, patrons of the arts, those who fight for civil rights and equality, the music world, the radio families. She is a lighthouse for, oh, so many.
It was truly an honor to be part of the celebration for her 50th year at
Terri paved the way for all women in media and the thousands of us who follow in her footsteps are forever grateful. Though she is known for her incredible interviews and song selections, educating so many in the worlds of music, equality and religion. I know she is loved by all mostly for her incredible heart. We love you Terri! Welcome to the Terri Hemmert Studios. Congratulations. 🖤🥂
