I started this tiny business in 2018, and have been trying to juggle it around a full time work schedule, my children, their activities, and my other responsibilities. Since that time, I’ve dealt with several very close family deaths and had a handful of health issues/surgeries. I’ve just not been the same since losing my mom; and I’ve struggled to find the right balance, and not feel overwhelmed, as I’ve continued to photograph on the side.
I realize it’s not just me and that everyone is under added stress, both post pandemic and under the current economic state. I can understand and feel for the struggles each of you has at this time. I ask that everyone also understand that the losses I've suffered, and other circumstances, have taken a serious toll on my physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Some incidents this year with clients have further exacerbated it.
I truly do everything I can to ensure I provide my clients the most amazing experience, and photos they will love. That requires time away from my family to message with people, visit locations, and edit many many hours to turn galleries around quickly. I’ve recently started a new job that will require more time of me and reduce the time I have to do those things. For now, I am going to step away from photography and contemplate the future of my little business. I do not intend to do any sessions for the remainder of 2022. I would deeply appreciate it if you would keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I try to make this decision.
