These moments at the War Memorial felt like stepping straight into a European summer film. Every corner looked luxurious, every detail felt intentional, and this couple? Absolutely unreal. The kind of couple that makes photography effortless because they naturally carry that classy, romantic energy together.

This is exactly why I love blending storytelling with an editorial approach. Creating imagery that feels enduring, elevated, and like it belongs in the pages of a luxury magazine while still holding real emotion.

Tucked away on the peaceful west bluff of The Inn at Stonecliffe, this place feels like something out of a dream. From the quiet wooded drive in on a horse drawn taxi, to the lake views, timeless architecture, and romantic atmosphere, Stonecliffe is truly one of the most breathtaking spots on Mackinac Island. Whether you’re planning a cozy getaway or an elegant wedding weekend, it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and soak it all in.

As many weddings as I’ve photographed on the island, I still have yet to photograph one here, and honestly… it’s at the very top of my bucket list. There’s just something so timeless and elevated about Stonecliffe that would photograph like pure magic.

Just wait until you see it when it’s in bloom this summer!! The trees, the florals, they’re incredible!

What an incredible gift it was to capture one of the sweetest moments of their lives together. While vacationing on Mackinac Island for Alyssa’s college graduation getaway, Jake got down on one knee at the beautiful Inn at Stonecliffe and asked forever.

I truly believe God leads the way in the moments we’re meant to be part of, and I am beyond grateful He allowed me to witness and preserve such a meaningful beginning to this next season for these two. Their joy, love, and excitement for the future was something so special to witness.

Here’s to forever, new beginnings, and a love story just getting started ✨
