It's my final session in the studio today and I'm feeling alllll of the emotions. I want to extend another heartfelt thank you to anyone who has supported me or my business over the last several years. It has meant so much to me. I am beyond grateful for the people I have met and the opportunities I have had to be able to be such a significant part of all of my clients journeys.

This will always be one of the most memorable seasons in my life. I will miss it, but I am very excited for the next chapter. ❤️

LOCALS - I will be going through, organizing and getting all of my props ready for sale over the next couple of weeks. I have A LOT. My dearest clients ❤️

I have been tossing this around in my heart for quite some time, but with recent personal and family changes, I know it’s time.

Seven years ago, my husband and I created such a beautiful space for my photography business; a place filled with light (literally), love, and so many precious memories. It has been one of my greatest joys to photograph glowing mamas-to-be, tiny newborns, and families as they grow. Each of you has touched my heart and fueled my passion in ways I can’t even begin to describe.

As my own children grow and our family’s needs evolve, the studio will soon take on a new purpose - a family space for crafting, creating, and togetherness. While this means that this chapter of my photography business is coming to a close, I know I’ll never truly set my camera down. I may offer a session here and there when my heart needs that creative fix, but for now, it’s time for me to pour my energy into home and family.

I will, of course, honor and complete all current bookings, and for anyone who’s been on the fence about scheduling, I’ll be accepting sessions through the end of November before officially closing the studio doors.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me with your most special moments. This era has been such a gift, and I am endlessly grateful to have shared it with you. ❤️

My beautiful family. 🌟 And a solid reminder to print those photos. I hadn't updated our own family photos in years. Not only is it hard to find the time to shoot our own photos, but taking the time out of my work schedule to edit them is much harder.

There was a sunflower field in our town this year that made the news - with over 1.3 million sunflowers. I thought it would be the perfect time to update some of our family photos. This is the only one I got around to editing - and my hard drive failed me yesterday. All the other family shots, individuals of my children and my niece, and beautiful shots of my husband and myself, gone.

A friend of ours is currently working to try and recover the files but they may be gone forever. Everything I preach to my clients; and I didn't follow through with it myself. Now I have one single low resolution web file that isn't even suitable for print.

"I'll print it later" can be a death sentence for your captured memories. 😭
