Caught a show with my family of friends, Clint & The Cosmic Wake at Big Al's Barefoot Bay last week.

Clint and the band always deliver one hell of a good show, and this night was no exception.

Barefoot Bay has changed a little since the last time I was there. They’ve always supported local bands, but this time I got to see the new and improved version. In 2025, they completely remodeled the place and added a full menu. The food was excellent, the service was great, and I really love what they’ve done with the place.

Chayden Beggs even popped up on stage for a couple of songs, adding another friendly face to the evening.

Over the last couple of years, Clint & The Cosmic Wake have also amassed a small catalog of incredible original music. It’s always a treat getting to hear those songs live. There’s just something special about watching a band you’ve had the privilege of growing with.... win a crowd over with something that is uniquely their own.

It was a fun night.... but then again, it always is when these guys are on stage.

Wes Jeans "Official" Fan Page …. An East Texas native son who can absolutely melt a guitar down!

Wes has been playing since he was a teenager, and with encouragement from people like Al Hendrix, father of the legendary Jimi Hendrix….he launched a music career that has taken him far beyond East Texas.

Over the years, Wes has played and shared the stage with the likes of B.B. King, Jimmie Vaughan, Billy Gibbons, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, just to name a few.

Wes Jeans is an incredible artist who continues to tour, play regular shows But what really says something about the man behind the guitar is that he also finds time to support our local musicians and music scene.

That makes Wes Jeans not only an amazing artist, but an amazing person as well.
