Soft launch for documentary family sessions?? 👀

I’ve been dreaming about this for a while, family photos without the “stand here, smile, hold still” rules.

Kids don’t need to perform for the camera. They don’t need to sit in matching outfits on a blanket in a perfect field. They just need to be kids.

My approach?
Child-led, photojournalistic, and real. I’m there to quietly follow along as you play, explore, laugh, and exist together. Maybe I’ll give a gentle prompt or creative idea here and there, but most of the magic will come from you simply being yourselves.

Because the best family photos aren’t about perfect poses, they’re about real memories. The scrunched-nose giggles. The running-away hugs. The dirt-smudged knees. The chaos and the calm.

If you’re a bird, I’m a bird 🕊️

I spent the evening yesterday driving 4.5 hours (because traffic was a b) to Jersey to photograph Molly & Adam. When I tell you I was not prepared for the magic we would make.

The windswept hair.
The jeep they had their first date in.
The misty, sandy, salty air.
The storm rolling in.
The love between these two.

Everything was perfect, effortless. It looks and felt exactly like a movie scene.

When I shoot on film, it’s not about chasing trends—it’s about creating something real and lasting. The kind of photos that feel like warm, vivid memories.

Steven + Shannon’s day was pure magic. ✨ The kind of wedding that fills your heart and your camera roll. The forecast threatened a thunderstorm, but the skies cleared like they knew something special was happening🌤️

From the wild, high-energy wedding party (you know who you are 👀😂), to the color, the laughter, the insane light, and a dance floor I’ll be thinking about for weeks— this day was unforgettable.

And Shannon… you were the most stunning bride. Inside and out. You’re stuck with me forever now. 😭🫶🏼
