$150 MOTHER’S DAY MINI SESSION

One of my most prize possessions is my Photo library. Some days when I am feeling down, I sit and look back on all my photos. I am so thankful to have so many photos of my beautiful kids and the life I have been so fortunate to lead.

Unfortunately, the majority of those photos are not of me loving on my babies or laughing with them. Most of those photos are of the kids and their dad playing and laughing and snuggling. Moms are usually the ones that are documenting their lives and taking the photos. This is your chance to get in front of the camera. I cherish the photos I have of me with the kids (they are few and far between) but they are my favorite!

Yesterday was one of the best days of the year! Our annual Tossin’ Away ALS Co****le tournament went amazing! It was so much fun, I got to see some amazing people and hear some heart wrenching stories. I am so thankful for all the people that come out year after year to support this wonderful cause that does so much for the families affected by ALS. Every year I am so touched by the friendships I have made in this community. Thank you to everyone who supports Tossin’ Away ALS and thank you all who come out to help! My heart is so full ❤️❤️❤️

This time last year I was ringing the bell, signifying my last round of my cancer treatment. The past year and a half since my diagnosis, surgery, and radiation has been full of ups and downs. There are so many tears that I cried, moments I screamed, days I went to some deep dark places. But here I am on the other side! I will not allow cancer to define me. There are so many better qualities about me and things that I have to offer my friends and family. But I will be forever changed by cancer.

This is what I love! I love being outside exploring with families and capturing who they are right in this very moment. I love being behind a camera and giving those families a memory they can hold on to for generations to come ❤️❤️❤️ this is my jam, the passion that fills my soul.

Today on “Get to know your Photographer” series…

In college I studied Culinary Arts Management. I got to take management classes from one of the top hotel management schools in the nation. I also got to take cooking classes, bartending classes, wine and beer classes and baking classes. So my college career was full of eating and drinking. I also had the opportunity to study for a summer semester in Europe. I traveled all over Switzerland, France, Italy, Monaco and Germany. It was such an amazing and memorable experience!

Today on “Get to know your Photographer” series…

I played Division 1 Volleyball at UNLV. I originally got recruited by Dixie College in St. George, Utah (that was when Dixie was a Junior College) and played there for 2 years. I then moved back home to Las Vegas and walked onto the UNLV team as a junior transfer. I was able to earn an athletic scholarship my senior year along with becoming a starter and captain for the team. I met some of the most amazing, strong, influential women and we are still friends to this day. We have a constant group text that we make sure to check in on each other and plan yearly trips together. These women heal my soul when we are able to spend time together. Whether it be reminiscing on our crazy college days or catching up on each other’s lives, we are still able to laugh, cry and dance it out.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I am posting my talented and amazing girlfriend Jeanine Tripodi's Podcast "Babe Take a Seat". I had the pleasure of being her guest and talking about my experience with Breast Cancer. If you don't know, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July of 2023 and underwent a lumpectomy in September of 2023 followed by 20 rounds of radiation. Today on “Get to know your Photographer” series…

First of all I have to let you know I am Gen X. That means that I grew up before cell phones, computers were just starting to be sold to people for their home, we had dial up internet, I played outside, drank from the hose, had a fort in my backyard and during the summer my hair was always green because we swam all day long! Oh yea and my family didn’t have cable until I was in high school so I grew up with 5 channels to watch. Fun fact: I had a pager in high school (it was purple). That is how we got ahold of our friends because no one had cell phones!
