This photoshoot started with our original location choice having the road shut down and having to change plans and drive to many different areas to get the photos we needed. Sometimes as a photographer you get to be apart of the most special moments in a families lives. This moment was one of them! This sweet girl asked her stepdad to adopt her after their family photos. The emotions of this moment were so beautiful. Her beautiful message she read to him is as follows:

Matthew,
Some say a “real dad” is one that gave you life, but you’ve proved that belief to be a lie. While you weren’t there when I was young, you still managed to stay in the long run. You were patient and trusting throughout the years I’ve grown. And treated me no different than one of your own. All these things seem pretty real to me. So I guess this was just meant to be. Your influence has impacted me in so many ways, I might just have to read the following that says:
You’ve been here since I was four and I couldn’t have asked for a better like. There’s no need for me to act all tough, but ten years doesn’t seem like enough. So since you’re here today, I’ll just come out and say…

This sweet family with the most polite little guy was so much fun! The candid moments are my favorite and they turned out so good. His collecting of sticks while mommy and daddy were in the background is one of my favorite photos. It was such an honor to take their family photos! I truly cherish each and every client of mine!
